"Messi is training completely normally with the team. I guarantee 100% that he will join the trip with Inter Miami and play from the beginning of the match. Messi and Inter Miami ended the training camp with a five-match unbeaten streak, including two draws with Club America (2-2) and Universitario (0-0), but both wins came on penalties. They also beat Sporting San Miguelito (Panama) 3-1, Olimpia (Honduras) 5-0 and drew Orlando City 2-2.
Coach Mascherano assures Messi is ready
Between the two matches in the first round of the CONCACAF Champions Cup against Sporting Kansas City, Inter Miami will play the opening match of the 2025 MLS season (American professional soccer league) against New York City FC at 2:30 a.m. on February 23.
