The competition, organized by the Vietnam Animal Protection Association - Vietnam Cat Association, took place on November 2 and 3, to find cats that won the titles of World Champion and World Master.
In addition to the participation of more than 50 domestic cats, there are also 30 cats from abroad with diverse breeds, many of which have achieved international titles.
This high-class "cat beauty pageant" not only promotes the development of professional breeding but also spreads the message of love for animals to the community.
At the same time, it also conveys the message: cats will become companion animals, helping to heal and nurture the souls of future generations; ensuring biosafety when raising cats in urban areas.

This year's judges are from countries such as Germany, Latvia, and the Netherlands. Accordingly, in this pet contest, cats of the same breed will compete with each other to find the most beautiful cat. Then, the most beautiful cats of the breeds will continue to compete to find the most beautiful cat (likened to finding the beauty queen of beauty queens).
Cat evaluation criteria are based on appearance, health, and friendliness in accordance with international standards.

Bringing her 1-year-old Ragdoll cat named Soup to the competition for the first time, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Lan (25 years old, living in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) said that before the competition, the cat was taken to a pet spa to be beautified, cared for and trained for the show.
"I have three cats, but Soup is more outgoing than the other two, so I take him along. I mainly go to shows for fun and to learn more about other cat breeds, as well as to learn from others' experiences and good things about diet and care to apply to my three 'children'.
Whether I win the award or not is fine, because I just want to come here to learn and interact with everyone," Lan shared.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc My - Chairman of the Vietnam Animal Protection Association - said he highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam Cat Association over the past years, and hoped that the event would contribute to the development of the pet industry in Vietnam.
"Besides, I also want to remind that in addition to organizing large-scale events for beautiful cats, we must not forget that out there are thousands of cats who are lacking love, protection and care.
The Vietnam Animal Protection Association is also making calculations and developing plans to organize shelters to create conditions for caring for abandoned cats in society," said Mr. My.
