Digital rearview mirrors used to be only available on expensive luxury cars. However, they are becoming more common, and Mazda has added the technology to some of its models.
Digital rearview mirror is a combination of high resolution camera with rearview mirror integrated LCD screen displaying image from camera.
They allow the driver to easily observe the area behind the vehicle without being obstructed by objects or people in the back seat. When not in use, the driver simply presses a button to switch to a regular mirror.
The Japanese automaker is rolling out this feature as an optional extra on select SUV models.

Owners can order this equipment on the CX-90 and the CX-70 model about to be launched in Australia. The suggested installation price is 2,568 AUD (about 42.5 million VND) and can be ordered at the genuine dealer.
Digital cameras will be warranted for 5 years, unlimited kilometers if pre-ordered at the time of purchase. In case of installation after purchase, the product is warranted for only 2 years.
Mazda also offers a range of genuine accessories for the Australian market. For example, on the CX-90, the accessories list includes illuminated skid plates, roof racks, roof-mounted bike racks and an electric trailer brake controller.
