Specifically, the fuselage of this plane was being transported from Mumbai to Assam state. While traveling on National Highway 28 in Motihari city of Bihar state, the plane could not pass under the Piprakothi bridge and got stuck.

After the incident, many curious people gathered to discuss and take pictures, causing chaos and traffic congestion at the scene.
Police and other authorities then arrived at the scene to handle the incident, untying the plane from under the Piprakothi Bridge and deflating the trailer tires to lower its height. After much effort, the fuselage of the plane and the truck were successfully removed from under the bridge.
The fuselage of the Airbus A320 was reportedly purchased by a scrap dealer after an auction in Mumbai and is being transported to Assam state, nearly 2,800 km away from the auction site. The aircraft will be used to design a specially-styled restaurant.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred in India. Earlier in November 2022, a plane being transported from Kochi to Hyderabad on a tow truck got stuck under the Korisapadu tunnel in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh. In October 2021, another Air India Airbus A320 got stuck under a bridge on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway near the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
