During these days, our entire Party, army and people have just ended 2023 with many difficulties and challenges; but have achieved many proud achievements; at the same time, started 2024 with new beliefs and spirit. As the head of our Party, with his outstanding intelligence and vision, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong wrote an article: “Proud and confident under the glorious flag of the Party, determined to build an increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic Vietnam”. Before our Party was born, although there were many ways to save the country by scholars, peasant uprisings, and bourgeois revolutions...; although they fought very steadfastly, with great enthusiasm, and endured great sacrifices, due to historical limitations, especially the lack of a correct revolutionary line, those movements were not successful. Since our Party was born, with the correct leadership, the Vietnamese revolution has achieved many successes, especially in the process of fighting for power; fighting for national liberation.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong summarized: Looking back on the 1930-1975 period, we are extremely proud, confident and deeply grateful to the glorious Party and great Uncle Ho who have always wisely led the Vietnamese revolution from one resounding victory to another, continuing to write brilliant golden pages in the history of the civilized and heroic Vietnamese nation, admired and highly appreciated by the world: Successfully carrying out the "earth-shaking" August Revolution, seizing power for the people, bringing our country out of the yoke of colonialism and imperialism in 1945; The long-term resistance war against the invading French colonialists, ending with the Geneva Agreement and the victory of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign that resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world; While building socialism and fighting against the destructive war of American imperialism in the North, we also fought against the US to save the country, liberate the South, and unify the country, ending with the victory of the "Dien Bien Phu in the Air Campaign" and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
The generalization of the achievements of the revolutionary cause since the establishment of the Party until 1975 by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong demonstrates sharp theoretical thinking, a comprehensive summary of the achievements of historical significance of the Vietnamese people in the 20th century. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed: The renovation process has truly brought about great and very good changes to the country in the past nearly 40 years, contributing to making "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today". In general, those who have lived and experienced the years before the Renovation and the achievements of nearly 40 years of Renovation will fully see the conclusions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. That further demonstrates the leadership role of the Party, the correct and creative Renovation policy that is suitable to the reality of the Communist Party of Vietnam. It is even more meaningful because in the early years of the Renovation process, the collapse of the Eastern European socialist countries and the Soviet Union had a strong impact on the Renovation process in Vietnam, but our Party still firmly steered the Vietnamese revolutionary boat through rapids, reaching the shore of glory with rich and vivid practical results, making our people's lives increasingly prosperous and happy!
Summarizing the 94 years of establishment, construction, fighting and growth of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized: The rich and vivid practice of the Vietnamese revolution since the Party's establishment has proven that the correct and wise leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining all victories of the revolution, creating many miracles in Vietnam. On the other hand, through the process of leading the revolution, our Party has been tempered and increasingly matured, worthy of its role and mission of leading the revolution and the trust and expectations of the people. That practice affirms a truth: In Vietnam, there is no other political force, other than the Communist Party of Vietnam, that has enough mettle, intelligence, experience, prestige and ability to lead the country to overcome all difficulties and challenges, leading the revolutionary cause of our nation from one victory to another.
This summary demonstrates the intellectual height of our Party leader; it is a great source of encouragement for the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people in the cause of innovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration. We are proud to have the great President Ho Chi Minh, the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, the heroic Party of the heroic Vietnamese nation. Firmly step towards socialism
