The Communist Party of Vietnam is a genuine revolutionary party. Its founding on February 3, 1930, was the result of a combination of Marxism-Leninism with the workers' movement and the patriotic movement of our nation. This was a momentous historical turning point, ending a prolonged crisis in the organization and direction of the Vietnamese revolution in the preceding period.

Throughout the vibrant and glorious revolutionary process of our nation, our Party has steadfastly taken Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought as its ideological foundation and guiding principle for action, and has continuously strengthened the unity, solidarity, and close, inseparable bond with the people.

Over the past 94 years, the glorious history of our Party and nation has proven that the correct and wise leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining all the victories of the revolution and creating many miracles in Vietnam. The Party led the entire Vietnamese nation to achieve the earth-shattering victory of the August Revolution in 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) on September 2, 1945; and to win the two wars of resistance against France and the United States, unifying the country in the spring of 1975. With the country at peace , the Party continues to lead our people into a comprehensive reform process with proud achievements: Our country has never before possessed such a foundation, potential, position, and international prestige as it does today.

The Party's leadership of the Vietnamese revolution is the choice of the nation, the choice of history. The great achievements our nation has attained over the past 94 years have affirmed the character, wisdom, experience, prestige, and leadership capacity of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Along with this glorious process, our Party has been tempered and has grown increasingly mature, worthy of its role and mission in leading the revolution and the trust and expectations of the people.

With unwavering faith, pride, and confidence, we march forward under the glorious banner of the Party, firmly believing that our country will develop faster and more sustainably, continuing to open up a bright future for our entire nation.

With its proven leadership, wisdom, and prestige, our Party continues to steadfastly apply and creatively develop Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; steadfastly pursue the goal of national independence and socialism; steadfastly adhere to the Party's reform line; and steadfastly uphold the principles of Party building to build and firmly defend the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. At the same time, we will continue to enhance the Party's leadership capacity, governing capacity, and fighting strength; awaken the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation, striving to make Vietnam a developed country by the middle of the 21st century, following the socialist orientation. In the immediate future, the entire Party, people, and army will continue to work together, seize every opportunity and advantage, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and resolutely implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; while also preparing for the Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party. These are all new milestones for our Party on the path of national development.

As the capital city – the heart of the nation – with great honor and responsibility, the Party Committee, government, and people of Hanoi will continue to set a leading example, closely following the leadership and guidance of the Central Committee; strictly implementing Directive No. 24-CT/TU of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on strengthening discipline and responsibility in handling work, in conjunction with effectively implementing the 2024 theme "Discipline, Responsibility, Action, Creativity, Development," thereby practically celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Celebrating 94 springs since the founding of the Party, and commemorating the great President Ho Chi Minh, we are "proud and confident under the glorious banner of the Party, determined to build a Vietnam that is increasingly prosperous, civilized, cultured, and heroic," as stated in the article by Professor, Doctor, and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Party's founding.
