Ly Hoang Nam competes in amateur tennis tournament, sets Northern record

The organizers of the Northern Tennis Forum tennis tournament expected about 500 athletes to register. However, the actual number was nearly 3 times larger - a total of 1,400 people registered. All events had more athletes registered than expected.

In order to ensure the progress of the tournament as well as the professional quality of the matches and the management, the tournament organizing committee has finalized the list of 850 athletes participating in 7 doubles competitions (men's doubles, mixed doubles, women's doubles) from low to high level on the Northern Tennis Forum rankings.

Ly Hoang Nam participated in the men's doubles event of the Super Cup.

In the competition events, the most crowded event is the men's doubles event at level 13.0 (based on the ranking of the Northern Tennis Forum) with 296 athletes with 148 pairs, while there are expected to be 80 pairs participating in this event.

Meanwhile, the most notable event is the Super Cup men's doubles level 16.5 with 14 pairs and 28 athletes participating. This event brings together the best male tennis players in Vietnam today such as Ly Hoang Nam, Le Quoc Khanh, Pham Minh Tuan, Trinh Linh Giang, Nguyen Dac Tien, Vu Ha Minh Duc...

The 2023 Northern Tennis Forum Open Tennis Tournament will take place from December 8 to December 10, organized by the Northern Tennis Forum in collaboration with the Hanoi Tennis Federation. This year, players will compete at the Hanaka International Standard Court Complex (Bac Ninh) and neighboring courts in Hanoi.

This is the first time the Northern Tennis Forum has coordinated with the Hanoi Tennis Federation to organize a super tournament of the largest scale in the North ever. This year's tournament has a total prize value of more than 600 million VND.

Mr. Tran Dai Nghia, General Secretary of the Hanoi Tennis Federation, assessed that the number of athletes registering for the tournament has shown the strong development and demand for competition of athletes as well as tennis practitioners. This is the basis for the Hanoi Tennis Federation to continue to coordinate with the Northern Tennis Forum to organize many other tournaments in the near future.
