Faced with the complicated developments of the flood, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Thach Thanh district has increased its forces, closely followed key areas, inspected and directed communes and towns to have timely response plans.

On the afternoon of September 11, speaking with Dan Viet reporter, Mr. Hoang Khac Khoa - Chairman of Kim Tan Town People's Committee, Thach Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province said: Currently, 100 households with 423 people in Ngoc Bo quarter are still isolated.
Mr. Pham Dinh Cai's family in Ngoc Bo quarter, Kim Tan town, Thach Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province was flooded.
According to Mr. Khoa, the flooding in Ngoc Bo neighborhood started on November 9, when the Buoi River rose and flooded into people's houses, causing damage to crops and property.
“This afternoon (September 11), the river water has begun to recede, but at a rather slow rate, the water level is still at alert level 2. To support the people, the commune has sent police and militia forces to stand guard on the other side of the spillway, preventing people from entering the flooded area. For the 100 isolated households, the commune has used motorboats to deliver food to each household, ensuring that people do not go hungry,” said Mr. Khoa.
Some households had to climb onto corrugated iron roofs to avoid the flood.
