Loc Binh: Meeting to disseminate and implement the merger of Tam Gia commune and Tinh Bac commune

– On February 23, Comrade Doan Thu Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Loc Binh District Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Loc Binh district chaired a meeting to disseminate, deploy, and agree on the contents of the implementation of the arrangement of administrative units for Tam Gia commune and Tinh Bac commune.

Comrade Doan Thu Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Loc Binh District Party Committee concluded the meeting.

Tinh Bac commune has a natural area of 48.79 km², currently has 3 villages, population of 1,752 people (in 2021, the commune dissolved 5 villages due to the State's land acquisition to clear the site for the Ban Lai reservoir project; in 2023, the commune continued to rearrange the villages, reducing from 5 villages to 3 villages); Tam Gia commune has 9 villages, of which 7 villages do not meet 50% of the scale of households according to regulations. In order to ensure convenience for State management, reduce the number of government agencies and local socio-political organizations, create favorable conditions and resources for socio-economic development, it is necessary to merge these 2 communes into a new commune-level administrative unit.

Implementing the instructions of the superiors on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, in 2024, Loc Binh district will merge Tam Gia commune and Tinh Bac commune. The merger of these two communes aims to concentrate resources, promote local development potential, in line with the requirements of promoting administrative reform, streamlining the apparatus, reducing staff, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area.

At the meeting, the Steering Committee members focused on discussing the following contents: collecting voters' opinions in Tam Gia and Tinh Bac communes; assigning tasks to Steering Committee members, roadmap for implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units; unifying the name after the merger; content and form of propaganda...

Concluding the meeting, the Secretary of the Loc Binh District Party Committee requested the members of the Steering Committee for the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Loc Binh District to proactively carry out tasks according to the assigned areas for each commune and each specific village; promote propaganda work on the arrangement of administrative units in Tam Gia and Tinh Bac communes; include this propaganda content in the thematic activities at Party cells to create consensus among cadres, party members and people in the whole district in general, and cadres, party members and people in the two communes in particular. Relevant units proactively organize and effectively implement the task of arranging commune-level administrative units to ensure democracy, objectivity and compliance with regulations.
