On August 3, the Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced the Conclusion Notice of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam at the working meeting with Becamex Corporation according to Conclusion Notice No. 308/TB-UBND dated July 12, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on research, survey, and development of Industrial Park - Urban Area - Service projects in Khanh Hoa province.
After listening to the presentation and proposal of the Becamex Corporation's leadership representative on how to coordinate the implementation of the preparation work, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam requested relevant departments and localities to prepare the content of working directly with Becamex Corporation.
At the same time, closely coordinate with investors to research, update, supplement, and adjust related planning projects... to ensure the implementation of investment projects in accordance with legal regulations.
Previously, the joint venture of Becamex IDC - Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited (VSIP) - Vietnam Rubber Industry Group - Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Becamex - VSIP Joint Venture) proposed the idea of developing Ninh Xuan Eco-Industrial Urban Area (Ninh Hoa town) and Nha Trang New City Urban Area (Dien Khanh district).
According to the planning concept, Ninh Xuan Eco-Industrial Urban Area has an area of about 2,400 hectares, with 4 main sub-areas including industrial parks and 3 urban areas. The area is bordered by National Highway 26 to the north; by 2 provincial roads DT5 and DT8 to the south; by provincial road DT8 to the east and by provincial road DT5 to the west.
For Nha Trang New City Urban Area, the area is about 500.8 hectares with 2 urban subdivisions - 9 residential units. This area has four borders, the north borders National Highway 27C, the south borders the existing canal, the east borders the North - South Expressway and the west borders the provincial road DT8. This area is 10 km from Nha Trang center, belonging to the extended urban axis.
According to the assessment of Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan in Conclusion No. 308/TB-UBND, the idea of developing projects of Becamex - VSIP Joint Venture in Ninh Hoa town and Dien Khanh district basically ensures all favorable conditions for implementation such as favorable location, convenient traffic, specific mechanisms and policies of Khanh Hoa province...
The above idea is also consistent with the planning and development orientation of Khanh Hoa province according to Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Decision No. 318 of the Prime Minister approving the Planning of Khanh Hoa province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Khanh Hoa agrees and supports the proposed idea of the Becamex - VSIP Joint Venture on developing projects in Ninh Hoa town and Dien Khanh district.
Hung Thinh wants more projects
Previously, at the end of June 2024, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a document assigning the Department of Planning and Investment and the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone (EZ) to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to study the proposed content of Hung Thinh Group Joint Stock Company (Hung Thinh Group) to consider and guide investors to implement investment procedures related to the New Urban Area project in Vinh Phuong commune, Nha Trang city and the New Urban Area project in Ninh Tho commune, Ninh Hoa town and Van Hung commune, Van Ninh district.
Specifically, Hung Thinh Corporation has sent a document to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province proposing a project of about 368 hectares in Vinh Phuong commune, Nha Trang city.
Regarding Van Phong Economic Zone, this enterprise said that part of Van Hung commune and Ninh Tho commune are oriented to develop into the urban service and residential area in the northeast of Ninh Hoa (sub-area 16) of Van Phong Economic Zone.
The Group believes that this is an area with great potential and is essential for the full development of Van Phong Economic Zone in the near future. The enterprise proposes a project scale of about 575 hectares, with the function of an urban service and residential area.
Accordingly, Hung Thinh Corporation proposed to accompany the locality by funding the zoning plan in accordance with local regulations and laws. At the same time, it committed to focusing resources on researching and proposing projects with criteria to ensure quality, progress and strict compliance with local regulations and laws.
