LIZEN and University of Transport join hands to train high-quality Railway Engineers

On March 1, the University of Transport and Communications in collaboration with LIZEN organized the opening ceremony of the Railway Engineering Training Course. This is a strategic step by LIZEN to improve the capacity of its staff and engineers to meet the needs of developing modern transport infrastructure.


Attending the opening ceremony on behalf of the University of Transport were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Principal, Associate Professor Dr. Le Hoai Duc - Vice Principal and representatives of relevant functional units.

On the side of LIZEN Joint Stock Company, there were Mr. Bui Duong Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ms. Le Thi Phuong Nam - Deputy General Director, Mr. Phi Ngoc Anh - Deputy General Director and 45 students of the Railway Engineering class who are officers and employees of LIZEN Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Rector of the University of Transport affirmed that the opening of the railway engineering class is an important milestone, marking a new promising step between the University and LIZEN Joint Stock Company in training high-quality human resources to meet the practical needs of the transport industry.

This is also the first sweet fruit of the cooperation between the University of Transport and LIZEN Joint Stock Company. This program not only brings opportunities to improve professional knowledge and practical skills for LIZEN's staff, but also opens the door for lecturers and students of the University to access valuable experiences from large projects, advanced technologies and far-reaching vision of the enterprise.

Mr. Bui Duong Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of LIZEN Company expressed his confidence in the University of Transport, the first training cradle for traffic engineers in the Vietnamese transport industry. Researching and delving into a new type of transport, urban railways and high-speed railways, is a great potential of the University.

Mr. Bui Duong Hung also reminded the students attending the course about the spirit of learning, to continue to have a new luggage to build the process of integrating with the company's economy and making worthy contributions to society.

On February 27, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 452/QD-TTg on approving the planning of the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Accordingly, the University of Transport was honored to be selected as a "Key Higher Education Institution" in the field of "Transportation and Transportation".

Also according to Decision No. 452/QD-TTg, the University of Transport (Main Campus in Hanoi and Branch in Ho Chi Minh City) is included in the Program and Project prioritized for investment, upgrading and development in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
