Increase income value for farmers and cooperatives from 1.3-1.5 times

In Thang Binh district, in an effort to develop a collective economic model and cooperatives, the entire district has established and maintained 64 cooperatives and about 100 cooperative groups linking production in agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, and livestock.

A typical example is Binh Dao Agricultural Cooperative, Binh Dao Commune, Thang Binh District - the unit was honored to be voted as one of 63 typical cooperatives in 2023 and is the first unit in Quang Nam province to carry out land consolidation with an area of ​​over 85 hectares.

Since its establishment, Binh Dao Agricultural Cooperative has played a significant role in agricultural production by supporting and linking with farmers in agricultural production. The cooperative has created regular jobs for more than 50 workers and 30 seasonal workers with an average salary of 5 million VND/person/month.

According to Mr. Vo Tan Sanh - Director of Binh Dao Agricultural Cooperative, in addition to expanding a variety of business services, the Cooperative also calls on businesses to invest in the production, purchasing, processing and consumption chain of agricultural products. Typically: high-quality rice production; intensive sesame - peanut farming model adapting to climate change; linking production and consumption of rice seeds.... Thereby, it has contributed to product consumption, increasing income value for farmers and cooperatives from 1.3 to 1.5 times.

Or in Que Son district, where there are 40 cooperatives, of which 33 operate in the agricultural and forestry sector. The activities of agricultural cooperatives have been maintained and developed, gradually affirming their fundamental role in reorganizing production in rural areas, contributing to job creation, promoting household economic development, and actively contributing to the process of restructuring the agricultural and rural economy.

In recent years, Quang Nam has formed many areas linked to the production of commercial rice varieties.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Vice Chairman of Que Son District People's Committee, in order to contribute to promoting the activities of cooperatives in agricultural production, the district always pays attention and has policies to support cooperatives to maintain their activities, gradually develop and become organized. Thereby, contributing to improving and enhancing the lives of farmers, actively contributing to the process of restructuring the agricultural - rural economy.

Focus on implementing well the guidance and chairing of agricultural production linkage

With the goal of developing a sustainable collective economy with cooperatives as the core, in the coming time, localities in Quang Nam province will continue to develop a variety of cooperative types. Special attention will be paid to developing agricultural production and agricultural service cooperatives associated with rural industry products and key products, with advantages and the OCOP Program.

In addition, the locality integrates resources from programs and projects to support collective economic development; focuses on removing difficulties and shortcomings in land, tax, credit... for cooperatives; supports and guides cooperatives to transform from small-scale, fragmented production activities to large-scale, concentrated commodity production, bringing high economic efficiency....

Production linkage helps farmers feel secure about agricultural product output, because there are businesses taking care of consumption.

According to the assessment, cooperation and production association have brought about practical results, helping to raise people's awareness from traditional production to commodity production associated with the market; increasing income for the parties participating in the association; scientific and technical advances have been applied synchronously on a large area, overcoming the fragmented and small-scale situation.

To continue effectively implementing Resolution No. 17 of the Provincial People's Council, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province has requested relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to focus on effectively guiding and chairing agricultural production linkages. Continue to promote information, propaganda and guidance on supporting the linkage of production and consumption of agricultural products. In particular, pay special attention to promoting effective production linkage models and projects in many forms... to raise awareness of officials and people and attract businesses and cooperatives to participate in linkages. Organize tours and study experiences of effectively implemented models and projects to find partners, call for investment and cooperate in linking production and consumption of products.

Implementing Resolution No. 17 dated December 17, 2019 of the Provincial People's Council, by the end of 2023, in Quang Nam, there were 81 linkage projects and plans for proposed linkage support (collectively referred to as linkage projects) approved. The linkage projects have attracted 80 cooperatives and 73 enterprises to participate in the chain (including 75 cooperatives and 6 enterprises as project leaders) with 17,261 households; concentrated in the fields of cultivation, forestry and livestock.
