Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations deploys tasks for the last 6 months of 2024

This morning, July 17, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Tri province held the 8th Executive Committee meeting, term 2019 - 2024 to evaluate the results of activities in the first 6 months of the year, deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024 and plan to organize the 5th Congress of Delegates of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the province, term 2025 - 2030.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations gathered a team of scientific and technological intellectuals to fully participate in study programs and thoroughly grasp the Party's directives and resolutions. At the same time, it implemented professional activities such as consulting, criticism and social appraisal as well as organizing technical innovation competitions, consolidating and developing organizations, disseminating information and knowledge, and scientific research activities to ensure progress and goals according to plan.

In which, chaired the scientific workshop "Blockchain, Web3, Metaverse - Technology platform and application" from which to propose solutions for local implementation.

Member organizations and associations proactively build, consolidate and develop the association, properly implement coordination regulations, participate well in consulting and critical work in professional fields, and actively contribute to building a strong association system.

In the last 6 months of 2024, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has identified 9 groups of tasks. In particular, focusing on research, transferring and applying scientific and technological advances to production and life as well as proactively participating in digital transformation, promoting startups, innovation and having solutions to encourage intellectuals to actively participate in scientific research, creative labor emulation movements, and technical improvements to contribute to the development of the homeland and the country.

Propose that the province and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations pay attention to directing and leading the provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations to perform well the assigned tasks.

In particular, it is recommended that the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee strengthen the direction of implementing Resolution No. 45 dated November 24, 2023 of the Party Central Committee, 13th tenure, on continuing to build and promote the role of the intellectual team to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period; Action Program No. 98 dated May 7, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee, 17th tenure, on implementing Resolution No. 45 of the Central Committee; resolutions and policies of the Party, State, and province on socio-economic development, science, technology, national defense and security, building and developing the intellectual team.

Regarding the plan to organize the 5th Congress of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, term 2025 - 2030, it will take place in 2 days, expected in the third quarter of 2025 in Dong Ha City.
