2024 school calendar for 63 provinces and cities, Hanoi has not "finalized"

On August 1, in response to Dan Tri reporters, the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the exact date for public school students to return to school has not yet been "finalized". The official school return schedule for students is based on the school year plan framework.

The non-public sector has a more flexible school start date schedule but does not violate the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the new school year starts on September 5. Normally, students start school 1 week before the start of the school year, except for first graders who start school 2 weeks early.
