Latest World Cup billiards schedule: 3 Vietnamese players in action

Today (November 4), 3 Vietnamese players will take the field on the opening day of the Seoul 2024 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup, taking place in Korea.

At the Seoul World Cup 2024 (taking place from November 4 to 10 in Korea), Vietnam has 11 billiards players competing. On the opening day of the tournament held in the land of kimchi, 3 representatives of Vietnam will take the field: Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Dinh Luan and Pham Van Son.

Among them, Nguyen Hoan Tat is the most notable player. Hoan Tat has made great progress in recent international tournaments. In the first qualifying round of the 2024 Seoul World Cup, the Vietnamese player is in Group I with Lee Beom-yeol (Korea) and Takashi Oosawa (Japan).

Nguyen Hoan Tat will start his campaign at the 2024 Seoul World Cup at 1:30 p.m. today (November 4, Vietnam time), meeting the loser of the previous match between Lee Beom-yeol and Takashi Oosawa. Hoan Tat will continue to play the decisive match for a ticket to the second qualifying round at 4:30 p.m.

The first two Vietnamese players to play at the 2024 Seoul World Cup are Nguyen Dinh Luan and Pham Van Son, both at 9am today (November 4). Accordingly, Dinh Luan will face Ercan Aydin (Turkey), while Van Son will face Park Duk-young (South Korea).

Nguyen Dinh Luan is in Group G with Ercan Aydin and Christian Latorre (Colombia). Meanwhile, Pham Van Son is a fairly new name in the World Cup billiards tournaments held abroad. Van Son is in Group H with Park Duk-young and Denizcan Akkoca (Türkiye).

In the first qualifying round of the Seoul Billiards World Cup 2024, 48 players are divided equally into 16 groups (3 players each), competing in a round-robin format with points and rankings (with a draw). The top players in each group will advance to the second qualifying round.
