Lunar New Year holiday schedule for private schools in Hanoi: Some schools will be closed from December 23rd

(Dan Tri) - The Lomonosov education system will have students from primary to high school take a break for the Lunar New Year 2025 from December 23.

According to the latest announcement from Lomonosov Primary School, Lomonosov Secondary School and High School, the Lunar New Year holiday schedule of these two schools is January 22 - February 2, 2025, from December 23 to the 5th day of Tet.

Students return to school on Monday, February 3, 2025 (6th day of Tet).

The total Tet holiday for students of these two schools is 12 days.

Newton Inter-level School System announced the expected school year schedule with a Lunar New Year holiday lasting 11 days, from January 24 to February 3, 2025 (December 25 to the 6th day of Tet).

Vinschool and Phenikaa schools both have a 13-day Tet holiday schedule for 2025, but the start of the holiday and the return to school time are 1 day apart.

Specifically, Vinschool students will be off from January 25 to February 6, 2025 (December 26 to January 9). Meanwhile, Phenikaa students will be off from January 24 to February 5, 2025 (December 25 to January 8).

Also according to the expected school year schedule of Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School, the school's students will have Lunar New Year holiday from January 24 to February 2, 2025 (December 25 to the 5th day of Tet). The total holiday time is 10 days.

Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High School is expected to have Tet holiday according to the schedule proposed by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs from January 25 to February 2, 2025, with a total holiday of 9 days.

Students at public schools in Hanoi will have Tet holiday according to regulations of the Department of Education and Training.

Previously, according to the 2024-2025 school year schedule of 63 provinces and cities, the 2025 Tet holiday schedule for students was different in each locality.

Up to now, there are 15 localities that have finalized the holiday time and detailed number of days off including: Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Quang Ninh, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Ha Tinh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Long An, Tra Vinh, Tay Ninh, Soc Trang, Binh Phuoc.

Of these, the province that gives students the most days off is Kon Tum with 17 days. The province that gives students the least days off is Long An with 10 days.

In addition, there are 3 provinces that have set the number of Tet holidays at 2 weeks (equivalent to 14 days), but have not yet set the specific holiday time, including Ninh Thuan, Tien Giang, and Kien Giang.

The remaining provinces and cities shall comply with state regulations in the Labor Law and specific local guidelines.
