On the morning of February 6, 2025, in the joyful atmosphere of the beginning of the Year of the Snake, at the Dung Quat Oil Refinery (Dung Quat Oil Refinery), the groundbreaking ceremony of the project "Construction of additional crude oil tanks for the existing Dung Quat Oil Refinery" took place.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Project Name: Construction of additional crude oil storage tanks for the existing Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
Scope of work: Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).
Scale: 01 tank with capacity of 65,000m3.
Location: Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Binh Tri Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province.
Investor: Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR).
General Contractor: Joint Venture of Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) - Quang Ngai PTSC Oil and Gas Services Joint Stock Company (PTSC Quang Ngai) - BCA - Thang Long One Member Co., Ltd. (BCA Thang Long). The groundbreaking ceremony was solemnly held with the participation of senior leaders from BSR Company: Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director, members of the Board of Directors, Board of Supervisors, Board of Directors of the Factory, leaders of functional departments and Project Team. On the side of the Joint Venture, there was the participation of Mr. Tran Ho Bac - General Director of PTSC Corporation and members of the Board of Directors, representatives of the Boards of the Corporation, representatives of the leaders and employees of the Project Team under PTSC Quang Ngai.
With a total investment of VND 531.75 billion, the project will be implemented on an area of 3,126 hectares, including 01 tank with a total capacity of 65,000m³. The addition of the tank system is expected to increase the total crude oil capacity of Dung Quat Oil Refinery to 585,000 m3, contributing to improving the flexibility in the operation of the Plant (increasing the ability to store many types of crude oil and raw materials, reducing the possibility of crude oil shortage during bad weather and/or reducing waiting ship costs, ...) while meeting the minimum crude oil storage requirements according to the National Petroleum Reserve and Supply Infrastructure Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 according to Decision No. 861/QD-TTg dated July 18, 2023 of the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director of BSR expressed his confidence in the capacity and experience of the PTSC - PTSC Quang Ngai - BCA Thang Long Joint Venture and committed to creating all conditions to support and closely coordinate with the contractor to ensure the project is implemented effectively, safely and on schedule.
Representative of the Contractor Consortium, General Director of PTSC Tran Ho Bac spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Responding to the trust from the Investor, the representative of the Contractor Consortium, Mr. Tran Ho Bac - General Director of PTSC Corporation expressed his thanks to the Board of Directors of BSR Company and deeply accepted the recommendations and proposals from the Investor. With extensive experience in implementing projects on construction and installation of oil and gas industrial works, especially completing the provision of design, procurement and construction (EPC) services for 02 previous crude oil tanks at NMLD in 2011, PTSC committed that the Contractor Consortium will continue to apply the most advanced construction solutions to ensure the progress and quality of the project as well as strictly comply with safety procedures, risk assessment before - during - after construction, maintaining labor discipline and environmental protection.
