Seeking comments on the Draft Directive of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress

Attending the conference at Lao Cai province were comrade Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Organization Boards of District Party Committees, City Party Committees, Town Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee.

At the conference, delegates heard the implementation of the Draft Directive of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

The 14th National Party Congress is an event of great political significance for the country. The Congress will review the 5-year implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the achievements and results of 40 years of renovation (1986 - 2026); review the 5-year implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy for the 2021 - 2030 period and determine the directions and tasks for national construction and defense in the coming years; and elect the Party Central Committee for the 2026 - 2031 term.

In order for Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress to be successful, the Politburo requires attention to preparing conditions well, closely coordinating personnel work, and focusing on propaganda and political and ideological education for cadres, party members, and the people.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong expressed his agreement with the Draft Directive of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong made specific comments on the implementation of the proportion of young cadres participating in Party committees; the tenure of cadres recommended for election to Party committees, leadership positions at Party committees; the number of members of the Party Executive Committees at provincial and district levels; and proposed that the Central Committee study a mechanism to increase the number of Deputy Secretaries at district level in some localities...
