- EVN is assigned to develop a plan to adjust electricity prices.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to urgently complete the revision and supplementation of Decision No. 24/2017/QD-TTg regulating the mechanism for adjusting average retail electricity prices, and report to the Prime Minister this August. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade needs to revise Decision No. 28/2014/QD-TTg regulating the structure of retail electricity prices, and report to the Prime Minister in September. The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to direct EVN to develop a plan to adjust electricity prices and propose an appropriate adjustment time, limiting the impact on economic recovery and development. - Another bank increases SMS Banking fees

- The used motorbike market in Hanoi is deserted.
Exactly 10 days since the regulation on license plate identification took effect, the used motorbike market in Chua Ha (Cau Giay district, Hanoi) has fallen into a state of deserted customers and desolate. Traders lamented that they have not sold any motorbikes for a whole week while still having to pay the cost of renting a kiosk and paying for parking every day (according to VOV).
- Rice prices continue to rise
The price of 5% broken rice in Vietnam is currently at 638 USD/ton. The price of Vietnamese rice is about 10 USD/ton higher than the same product in Thailand. Today, the market recorded two more banks reducing interest rates , Eximbank and VIB. Of which, Eximbank reduced interest rates for the 6th time in August.
