On May 23, information from Quy Chau District Police (Nghe An), the unit is temporarily detaining criminal suspect Luong Van Ky (born 1994, residing in Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district) for illegal drug trafficking.

Accordingly, at 2:00 p.m. on May 21, 2024, Quy Chau District Police arrested Luong Van Ky and seized 16 packages of heroin with a total weight of 2.6 grams.
At the police station, Luong Van Ky confessed to buying drugs for personal use and selling them for profit. Notably, to avoid detection, Ky set up a shack on the bank of Hieu River, Chau Binh Commune, Quy Chau District to commit the crime.
On the same day, at the trail area, Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, Quy Chau district police arrested Lang Van Khoa (born in 1992), residing in Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district for illegal possession of drugs, confiscated 1 package of heroin weighing 0.18 grams and 1 motorbike.
Currently, Quy Chau District Police (Nghe An) are detaining the subject for investigation and handling.

Previously, in Da Nang, on March 14, Thanh Khe District Police (Da Nang City) arrested 3 young men in a drug supply ring for addicts in the city and seized related evidence, guns, and bullets.
Initial information, through grasping the situation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Thanh Khe District Police identified a number of young people with suspicious signs of illegal drug trafficking, so they proceeded to verify.
At 11:30 a.m. on March 12, the unit coordinated with Thanh Khe Dong Ward Police to conduct an administrative inspection at the home of Ho Hieu Phong (22 years old, residing in Thanh Khe Dong Ward).
At the time of the inspection, the authorities discovered that in addition to Phong, there was also Huynh Phu Kien (living in the same ward) in the house and seized many types of drugs such as ecstasy, "tray" drugs, and "joy" liquid drugs.
During the initial investigation, Kien admitted that all the drugs were his and Phong kept them to sell to drug addicts for profit. Kien and Phong also admitted that they had previously participated in drug trafficking with Tran Hoang Phong (23 years old, residing in Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city).
