Living in a small village in Guizhou, China, this old man often went up the mountain to collect medicinal herbs. Once, while lost in the forest, he accidentally discovered a strange object clinging to the trunk of an ancient tree.

It turned out that this was a giant mushroom made up of countless small mushrooms. The mushroom was 50 centimeters tall and had a diameter equivalent to an umbrella. The farmer had never seen such a big mushroom in his life, so he decided to bring it home.

As soon as he arrived at the house, a large crowd of villagers came to see him. They all congratulated the old farmer on his good fortune. Many people in the house advised him to invite an expert to examine the mushroom.

The old farmer invited a botanist from the city to examine the mushroom. Finally, the expert said that the giant mushroom was an extremely rare wild lingzhi mushroom.

This mushroom is a perennial mushroom, each year's layer of growth overlaps the previous year's layer. Because it grows in deep forests, high, rugged mountains, and primeval forests, the age of the mushroom can sometimes be up to several decades.

The news of the Guizhou farmer finding a giant lingzhi mushroom spread throughout the village. Many people from far away heard the news and came to see the mushroom. There was even a tycoon who, upon seeing the mushroom, offered to buy it for 1.5 million yuan (over 5 billion VND). However, the old farmer flatly refused this offer.

Ganoderma lucidum has been used to treat and protect health for at least 3,000 years. The Japanese and Koreans call Ganoderma lucidum “happy mushroom”, immortal grass (immortal grass), and immortal grass (eternal grass).

Wild Ganoderma lucidum mushrooms usually grow in deep, humid forests and live parasitically on trees. They have hundreds of species due to different growing environments and harvest times. Ganoderma lucidum has been used for medicinal purposes for 3,000 years. Of these, green, yellow, brown, white, black and purple Ganoderma lucidums have the highest medicinal properties.

According to the book "Shen Nong's Herbal Classic" more than 2,000 years ago, Lingzhi (King of Herbs) is a superior medicine, has no side effects, and can be used in high doses for a long time.

Ganoderma lucidum is effective on a number of diseases such as angina, coronary heart disease, unstable blood pressure, bronchitis, rheumatism, chronic hepatitis, menopausal women, gastrointestinal diseases, and diabetes.
