In the letter sent to Lao leaders, Vietnamese leaders congratulated and shared pride in the great achievements that the Lao Party, State and People have made in recent times; at the same time expressed joy at the important and comprehensive steps forward in cooperation between the two countries, contributing to constantly consolidating and enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
The Vietnamese leaders expressed their firm belief that under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the resolute management of the State and the solidarity of the people of all ethnic groups, the brotherly country of Laos will overcome all difficulties, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the 9th Five-Year National Socio-Economic Development Plan, and gain even greater victories in the cause of national defense and development; the Lao People's Democratic Republic will increasingly develop, prosper and be happy, especially believing that Laos will successfully assume the role of ASEAN Chair 2024, Chair of AIPA 45, and that Laos' role and position will continue to be enhanced in the region and in the international arena.
In the letter sent to the leaders of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Vietnamese leaders congratulated the great achievements that the country and people of Cambodia have attained in the past year; believed that under the wise reign of King Norodom Sihamoni, the Government, Senate and National Assembly of Cambodia, the country and people of Cambodia will continue to have peace, stability and prosperous development; wished the country and people of Cambodia to celebrate the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay 2024 with joy, peace and achieve more brilliant results in the coming time.
Regarding bilateral relations, the Vietnamese leaders wished that the good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability between Vietnam and Cambodia would continue to be strengthened and developed, for the benefit of the people of the two countries and for a peaceful, developed, and prosperous ASEAN Community.
On this occasion, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory letter to Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea.
