Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Kim Loan was awarded the title in April 1996. She had only one biological son, martyr Nguyen Tien Dung, who died at the northern border in 1983.

Before retiring, Mom worked at Bach Mai Hospital. After retiring, Mom has always enthusiastically participated in local activities. From 1990 to 1996, she was the head of the residential group, participating in organizing activities of the Red Cross, Women's Union, and the Elderly Association. In addition, Mom is also a member of many clubs. Currently, Mom is living alone. Due to poor health, Mom has stopped participating in some activities, but is still active in volunteer activities, helping the disadvantaged in the residential area.

Next, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen visited and presented gifts to Mr. Dang Thanh Hung (born in 1927) - Class A war invalid, grade 3/4, injury rate 51%, veteran revolutionary cadre, veteran, at Thinh Quang alley, Thinh Quang ward, Dong Da district.

In 1944, Mr. Dang Thanh Hung participated in activities at the Viet Minh front in Hai Duong province, and worked as an intelligence officer for the Hai Duong provincial police. In 1948, he joined the army and fought in the 102nd Regiment, 308th Division. He fought many fierce battles with the unit and on the morning of October 10, he entered the capital with the unit.

In 1955, Mr. Dang Thanh Hung was a student at the Military Medical School and then participated in military medical work in many units. From 1968 to 1970, he participated as an expert to help Laos. Before retiring, he worked at the Military Medical Department, Military Medical University. He and his family always strictly followed the provisions of the law and the policies of the State.

At the families, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen kindly asked about the health and daily life of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Kim Loan and veteran revolutionary Dang Thanh Hung. At the same time, she expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation for the contributions and sacrifices of the Mother and veteran revolutionaries for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital, the city organized many events and activities to educate the younger generation about traditions, to show gratitude to those who contributed to the revolution, families with preferential policies, veterans, and former youth volunteers. The city also built and placed signs on many key projects that are significant to economic and social development. Due to the impact of storm No. 3 and floods, the city decided to adjust the scale of events and allocate funds to support people affected by natural disasters and floods.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also said that on October 3, the city will organize a meeting to pay tribute to veterans, former People's Police officers and former youth volunteers who directly took over the capital on Liberation Day, October 10, 1954. This event demonstrates the nation's morality of "remembering the source of water" towards the generations of fathers and brothers who contributed to our capital.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen wished Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Kim Loan and veteran revolutionary Dang Thanh Hung and their families good health, always following the development of the Capital and the country; continuing to actively participate in movements, contributing to building the locality and the city to become increasingly prosperous, civilized and modern.
