Leaders of Thua Thien Hue province offer incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs

This is one of the province's typical activities to celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).

Delegations of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thua Thien Hue province offered flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery (Quang Tri province) and Huong Dien Martyrs' Cemetery.

Offering flowers and incense at the martyrs' cemeteries, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh and members of the delegation expressed their deep gratitude for the heroic sacrifices of the heroic martyrs for the cause of national liberation, vowing to continuously promote the fine revolutionary tradition, uphold the spirit of solidarity, concentrate intelligence and resources to promote emulation movements in labor production, build the homeland to be increasingly rich and civilized; at the same time, do a good job of repaying gratitude, caring for and looking after people with meritorious services, and families with preferential policies.

With the philosophy of "remembering the source of water when drinking", the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thua Thien Hue province observed a minute of silence to commemorate and pay tribute to the great contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs across the country for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to the Management Board of Huong Dien Martyrs Cemetery, Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh also visited and encouraged the families of the officers who sacrificed their lives at Rao Trang.

Provincial Party Secretary Le Truong Luu and members of the delegation visited the families of war invalids Pham Xuan Tam in A Gon village (Thuong Long commune); war invalid Tran Minh Duc in Ap Rung village (Thuong Long commune) and visited the family of revolutionary contributor Ho Van Rooc in village 3, Thuong Quang commune (Nam Dong district).

At the places visited, Provincial Party Secretary Le Truong Luu kindly asked about the health and lives of the families and expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions of policy families to the cause of fighting for national independence.

Comrade Le Truong Luu was pleased to know that the families were all shining examples, exemplary models for the younger generations to follow; at the same time, he encouraged the families to continue to uphold and promote the revolutionary tradition, build cultural families, be exemplary leaders in movements and activities, and contribute with the local Party Committee and government to educate the younger generation about revolutionary traditions, national pride, and love for the homeland. At the same time, he hoped that the war invalids and people with meritorious services to the revolution would live happily and healthily to witness the changes and development of their homeland and country every day.

Receiving gifts from Provincial Party Secretary Le Truong Luu, the wounded soldiers and families with revolutionary contributions were happy, excited, and grateful for the attention of the provincial leaders and promised to continue promoting the revolutionary spirit, educating their children and grandchildren in the family and the younger generation to see their role and responsibility in building and developing their homeland and country.
