City leaders meet with intellectuals, generals, press, artists, and businessmen of the Hai Phong Association in Hanoi

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of January 27, in Hanoi, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city organized a meeting with intellectuals, generals, press, artists, and businessmen of the Hai Phong Association in Hanoi on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.

City leaders met with intellectuals, generals, journalists, artists, and businessmen of the Hai Phong Association in Hanoi.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Nguyen Tuong Van, Permanent Deputy Minister of Construction; and nearly 150 delegates of intellectuals, generals, press, artists, and businessmen from Hai Phong in Hanoi.

Lieutenant General Tran Ba Thieu (former Director General of the General Department of Politics of the People's Public Security), Head of the Liaison Committee of the Hai Phong City Association in Hanoi, expressed his pride and excitement at continuing to witness the city's strong development in all areas in 2023.

On behalf of the intellectual delegates, generals, press, artists, and businessmen of the Hai Phong City Association in Hanoi, comrade Lieutenant General Tran Ba Thieu (former General Director of the General Department of Politics of the People's Public Security), Head of the Liaison Committee of the Hai Phong City Association in Hanoi, respectfully thanked the city leaders for their attention to Hai Phong compatriots in Hanoi, demonstrating the city leaders' viewpoint of always paying attention to attracting and respecting the city's talents, especially the role of the city's leader.

Expressing pride and excitement at continuing to witness the city's strong development in all areas in 2023, the delegates said that such success stems from the strength of solidarity, joint efforts and consensus of the Party Committee, government and people of the city. As children of the Port City, in recent years, Hai Phong compatriots in Hanoi have been active in all activities, from retired members to those who are still working, all have strived to contribute their intelligence and strength to build the country and have many activities towards their homeland.

In the warm atmosphere, preparing to celebrate the traditional New Year of the nation, Comrade Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau respectfully thanked the sentiments, enthusiasm, and responsibility for the city of the intellectuals, generals, press, artists, and businessmen of Hai Phong compatriots in Hanoi. Along with contributing to the country's development in all fields, there are also positive contributions to the development of the city, no matter where they live, what they do, they always turn to their homeland with a precious heart. Comrade Secretary of the City Party Committee affirmed that for Hai Phong to achieve the achievements it has today is a very long journey, in which there are very important contributions from generations of leaders, intellectuals, generals, press, artists, businessmen, and fellow Hai Phong compatriots.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee also informed about the city's orientation and key tasks in 2024 - the year of acceleration for the entire term with many very important tasks, including focusing on preparing for Party Congresses at all levels, summarizing 5 years of implementing Resolution 45 of the Politburo, summarizing 3 years of implementing Resolution 35 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong city to reposition what has been done, what has not been done, thereby proposing and adding new mechanisms, creating more impetus and resources for the city's development; implementing the project to build an urban government and the project to build a city directly under Hai Phong city in Thuy Nguyen district; establishing An Duong district; implementing 2 plans approved by the Government; promoting the establishment of the 2nd Economic Zone in the South of the city, including the construction of a Free Trade Zone in this Economic Zone with outstanding mechanisms. The city also pays special attention to the fields of health, education and training, culture and society, and building Cat Ba into an international eco-tourism center. The Secretary of the City Party Committee believes that the most important thing is to maintain the spirit of solidarity and unity, a team of dynamic cadres who dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dedicate themselves to the development of the city and especially join hands to contribute the intelligence and financial resources of Hai Phong people living far from home, for the development of the city.
