THACO leaders attend the Closing Ceremony of the National University Student Football Tournament

On December 1, at Di An City Stadium, Binh Duong Province, the final match and closing ceremony of the National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) Student Football Tournament - THACO Cup 2024 took place. THACO Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Ba Duong and THACO General Director Pham Van Tai attended and awarded prizes to the teams.

Attending the program were Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Party Secretary, Director of VNU-HCM, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam - Vice Director of VNU-HCM, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan - Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper; Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Ky Phuong Ha - Vice Principal of University of Technology.

**Dramatic match between University of Technology (red shirt) and An Giang University team**

After 2 weeks of exciting competition, the teams of Polytechnic University and An Giang University have successfully won tickets to the final match. Having competed in the opening match, in this rematch, both teams gave the audience a dramatic match with beautiful moves. Leading the opponent with a final score of 1 - 0, the Polytechnic University team officially became the champion of the tournament.

2 (3) — **THACO General Director Pham Van Tai presented the award to An Giang University team.**


Third Prize belongs to the team of University of Natural Sciences and the team of University of Economics and Law.

At the closing ceremony, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong awarded the gold medal, the Championship Cup and a prize of 50 million VND to the University of Technology team. THACO General Director Pham Van Tai awarded the silver medal and a prize of 30 million VND to the An Giang University team. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the third prize to the University of Natural Sciences team and the University of Economics and Law team, along with other individual and collective awards such as: the cheerleader award; the top scorer award; the best goalkeeper award; the best referee team award, etc.

The HCM National University Student Football Tournament - THACO Cup 2024 has ended with many memorable and impressive moments. In the coming time, THACO will continue to accompany sports activities for students, thereby building a dynamic, creative and positive young generation.
