Leaders of countries send telegrams and letters to congratulate Vietnam on National Day September 2

The leaders congratulated the great, comprehensive and historic achievements that the Vietnamese people have gained over the past 78 years under the wise and correct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023), the leaders of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the People's Republic of China, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Cuba, the Russian Federation, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Republic of India, the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Republic of the Philippines sent congratulatory messages and letters to the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.

(1 ) General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith; Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone and Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Xaysomphone Phomvihane jointly sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh and Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue.

At the congratulatory telegram, key Lao leaders warmly congratulated the great, comprehensive and historic achievements that the Vietnamese people have achieved over the past 78 years under the wise and correct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Vietnamese people have united and gradually overcome all difficulties and challenges, firmly defending the country, with stable politics, rapid economic development, guaranteed social order and security, continuously improving the people's lives, and increasingly enhancing the prestige and role of Vietnam in the international and regional arena. This is a source of great motivation and encouragement for the Lao Party, State and people in protecting and developing the country.

The Lao Party, State and People are very proud to see that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, which was nurtured by the great President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, and many generations of leaders of the two countries, is increasingly developing steadily, going deeper and more effectively, becoming a priceless asset and a vital factor, deciding the victory of the revolutionary cause of each country. At the same time, the Lao leaders also expressed their sincere gratitude for the valuable, timely and effective support and assistance that Vietnam has given to Laos over the past time and affirmed that in any circumstances, Laos will continue to preserve and nurture the rare special relationship between the two countries to blossom and bear fruit, forever lasting, for the benefit of the people of the two countries as well as peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the world.

The key leaders of Laos wished the Party, State and People of Vietnam to continue to achieve even greater achievements in implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, successfully implementing the strategic orientation to 2030 and the development vision to 2045, successfully building the Socialist Republic of Vietnam into a modern industrialized country, for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

(2) General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong. Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh. Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China Zhao Leji sent a congratulatory message to Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue.

In the telegrams, the Chinese leaders congratulated Vietnam on the encouraging achievements in socio-economic development; believed that Vietnam would make steady progress on the path to socialism in accordance with Vietnam's situation. The Chinese leaders affirmed that they attach great importance to developing relations between the two Parties and two countries, and wished to strengthen strategic exchanges with Vietnam, deepen cooperation in various fields, bring more benefits to the people of the two countries, and make positive contributions to peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world.

(3) The Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party, Acting Head of State, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Kitti Tesaphibal Bindit Hun Manet and President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia Khuon Sudary sent letters and telegrams of congratulations to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and senior leaders of Vietnam.

The Cambodian leaders congratulated the Vietnamese people on the great achievements they have made in recent times and firmly believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Vietnamese people will continue to achieve even greater achievements in implementing the Resolution set forth by the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, including the goal of turning Vietnam into a high-income developed country by 2045. Appreciating the continuous development of the good neighborly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive, sustainable and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia in recent times, the Cambodian leaders expressed their wish to continue to cooperate closely with the Vietnamese side to consolidate and develop the relationship between the two countries more and more sustainably, for the common interests of both countries.

(4) First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong. Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh. President of the National Assembly Esteban Lazo Hernández sent a congratulatory message to President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue.

The Cuban leaders sincerely sent their best wishes to the senior leaders and people of Vietnam; remembered President Ho Chi Minh's saying "nothing is more precious than independence and freedom" and affirmed that the Vietnamese people had broken the yoke of colonialism and imperialism, unified the country and embarked on the path of innovation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, achieving many successes recognized by the world; expressed deep pride in the historical solidarity that had been nurtured and consolidated in the common struggle for independence, freedom and development; and affirmed the desire to continue to further promote the special traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

(5) President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh. Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Parliament Valentina Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin sent a congratulatory message and letter to Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue.

The Russian Federation's senior leaders affirmed that Vietnam is Russia's traditional and reliable partner in the Asia-Pacific region; they hope that the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continue to be strengthened in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, in a variety of fields - politics, economics - trade, culture, education - training... The Russian Federation's senior leaders expressed their belief that the two sides will work together to further promote the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, meeting the interests of the people of the two countries.

(6) General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un sent a joint congratulatory message to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong. Prime Minister of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Tok Hun sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh.

The DPRK leader congratulated the Vietnamese people on their important achievements in national construction and development under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

(7) President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu sent a congratulatory message to President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong, and Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh.

In the messages, the Indian leaders reviewed the history of relations between India and Vietnam, which have always been strong and have stood the test of time; assessed that the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries is a testament to trust, deep mutual understanding and shared values, creating a bond between the peoples of the two sides. The Indian leaders affirmed that Vietnam is an important pillar of India's Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific vision; and that the cooperative efforts of the two sides not only contribute to the prosperity and stability of each country, but also contribute positively to peace, stability and development in the broader Indo-Pacific region and the world.

(8) President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo sent a congratulatory message to President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh.

President Joko Widodo expressed his belief that the strategic partnership between the two countries over the past decade is a strong foundation to deal with current and future challenges, and affirmed Indonesia's commitment to continue to strengthen closer cooperation with Vietnam for the development of both peoples.

(9) Malaysian King Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah sent a congratulatory letter to President Vo Van Thuong.

The Malaysian King expressed his delight at the increasingly deepening bilateral cooperation; believing that with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023, cooperation between the two countries will continue to benefit the people and deepen the connection between the two countries and the two peoples.

(10) President of the Republic of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh.

The President of the Philippines congratulated Vietnam on its great achievements in national construction and development, contributing to maintaining a steady economic growth momentum and being a model of resilience and progress. The President emphasized that the Philippines always considers Vietnam a natural partner in the region, wishing to continue to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries within the bilateral framework as well as within ASEAN, towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2026.
