The Vietnamese delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh participated and effectively contributed to all activities, conveying important messages about ASEAN and the future of ASEAN.

According to a special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on the afternoon of October 11, leaders of countries belonging to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) attended the closing ceremony of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits and the handover ceremony of the ASEAN Chairmanship from Laos to Malaysia.
In his speech as ASEAN Chair in 2025, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim officially announced the theme of ASEAN Year 2025 as “Inclusivity and Sustainability”, expressing the aspiration for shared prosperity and leaving no one behind.
The year 2025 marks the beginning of a new journey for ASEAN with the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, continuing and promoting the achievements of nearly 60 years of cooperation, strengthening intra-bloc linkages, expanding economic cooperation with external partners, and continuing to strive for peace, security, stability and common prosperity.
After 4 days of active and urgent work, the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits were a great success, concluding ASEAN cooperation in 2024 with many practical results, leaving a strong impression of the proactive and positive contributions and leading role of the Lao Chair, contributing to enhancing the stature of the "connected and self-reliant" ASEAN Community, towards a new stage of ASEAN development with a new vision, new thinking, new motivation and new mindset.
The Vietnamese delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh participated and effectively contributed to all activities, conveying important messages about ASEAN and the future of ASEAN, affirming the image of Vietnam as proactive, positive, responsible, sincere and friendly, with important sharing and suggesting many new ideas for the process of building the ASEAN Community, promoting relations between ASEAN and its Partners, contributing to the common goal of peace, security, stability and sustainable development in the region and the world.
On the evening of October 11, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation left Vientiane for home, successfully concluding their working trip to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits./.
