Leaders of countries congratulate President Vo Van Thuong

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao PDR Thongloun Sisoulith sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong.

In the letter, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith emphasized that Mr. Vo Van Thuong's election as President demonstrates the trust of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in him; affirming that he will always be ready to cooperate to contribute to consolidating the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, comradeship and brotherhood between the two Parties, two States and peoples, founded by the great President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong and preserved, cultivated and promoted by generations of leaders of the two countries. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith also expressed his belief that, with his capacity and rich experience, Mr. Vo Van Thuong, together with the collective leadership of Vietnam, will continue to lead the country forward steadily towards the goal of a prosperous people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization; at the same time, wishing the Vietnam - Laos relationship to be forever green and everlasting.

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to President Vo Van Thuong.

In the telegram, President Xi Jinping emphasized that China and Vietnam are two friendly socialist neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. Over the past year, President Xi Jinping and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong reached important common understandings on consolidating traditional friendship, enhancing strategic exchanges, deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, and jointly planning a bright future for the development of the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era. President Xi Jinping expressed his high regard for China-Vietnam relations and his willingness to work with President Vo Van Thuong to promote the stable and healthy development of bilateral relations, towards jointly building a China-Vietnam community of common destiny of strategic significance; wished Vietnam prosperity and happiness for its people, and wished President Vo Van Thuong even greater achievements in his new position.

Cambodian King Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni sent a congratulatory letter to President Vo Van Thuong.

In the letter, on behalf of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the King sent his best wishes to President Vo Van Thuong. The King of Cambodia expressed his firm belief that under the leadership of President Vo Van Thuong, Vietnam will continue to achieve great achievements, develop rapidly in all fields and play an important role in the region and the world; and believes that Cambodia and Vietnam will have an increasingly close relationship, continue to maintain peace, stability, cooperation and further develop together.

First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez sent a congratulatory letter to President Vo Van Thuong.

In the letter, Mr. Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez sent his best wishes for success and happiness to President Vo Van Thuong; expressed his firm belief that Cuba and Vietnam will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields, consolidate the exemplary relationship between the two Parties, States and peoples based on mutual political trust and regular exchange of experiences of each country in the joint effort to build socialism. Mr. Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez reaffirmed his steadfast will to continue efforts to preserve the traditional relationship of brotherly solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
