On December 9, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Director of the Criminal Police Department for his achievements in coordinating the investigation of the Binh "kiem" case.

Previously, in November, the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) with a proactive and determined spirit presided over and coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security's representative office in Laos, along with a number of professional units and local police, to fight and arrest 16 subjects involved in manufacturing, trading, transporting, and illegally storing military weapons; fraudulently appropriating property; organizing gambling and gambling; preventing professional criminal plots and activities that harmed people's lives and health; seizing 11 guns, 1,400 bullets and many other documents and evidence of the case.

In relation to the case, the once notorious gangster Pham Duc Binh, also known as Binh "kiem" (54 years old, from Quang Ninh) is one of the 16 arrested subjects mentioned above.

This is an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the intelligence, sharpness in professional skills and high sense of responsibility of the Criminal Police Department in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating organized crime, transnational crime, and crimes using weapons and supporting tools to commit crimes.

The results of the special project have reflected the close and effective coordination between the professional units of the Ministry and the local police; at the same time, deterring and preventing crime, strengthening people's trust in the People's Police force.

"On behalf of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, I acknowledge and commend your achievements. I request the Criminal Police Department to continue to coordinate with the Public Security of relevant units and localities to investigate and expand the case, consolidate documents and evidence to strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.

"I hope that you will promote the results you have achieved and continue to achieve more feats and outstanding achievements in work and combat," the content of the letter of commendation from Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long clearly stated.
