Emotional Remains at the Opening Ceremony of the 2023-2024 Academic Year of the University of Economics

The sunny autumn of October is waving to welcome the bustling school opening season, waving to welcome the new generations of students who are getting ready to conquer the journeys ahead with UEB.

On the morning of October 4, 2023, in Hanoi, more than 4,500 lecturers, students and alumni of the University of Economics - VNU (UEB) attended a special ceremony to open a new school year. The opening ceremony was filled with emotions, conveying beliefs and hopes for the current generation of students, new students of UEB on the journey to conquer knowledge, explore the world, and confidently become global citizens in the future.

More than 4,500 lecturers, students, alumni, and former students of the University of Economics - VNU attended the Opening Ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year.

The Opening Ceremony was attended by representatives of embassies in Vietnam, representatives of leaders of Ministries, Departments and Hanoi City, representatives of the Board of Directors, Office and departments of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and domestic and international partners of UEB.

The ceremony marked the attendance of many distinguished guests including embassies of countries in Vietnam, representatives of leaders of Ministries, Departments and Hanoi City and domestic and international partners of UEB.

On behalf of the University of Economics - VNU, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Principal; Vice Principals: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu; Dr. Pham Minh Tuan and leaders of Faculties, Institutes, affiliated units and a large number of staff, lecturers, students and trainees attending.

In addition, the Opening Ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Board of Directors, Office and departments of Hanoi National University, businesses, press and media units, and lecturers, and all new UEB students.

Trusting and proud of the “tireless birds in the sea of knowledge”, Principal - Associate Professor, Dr. Le Trung Thanh confided on the opening day: “Teachers understand that orienting the future is not an easy question. You enter the university threshold with many questions that have no answers right now, which sometimes makes you discouraged. However, pessimism only exists when we give up and surrender. I hope you always try to cultivate knowledge, practice virtue, and train your talent. No one else but you will be the ones to take you to the places you want to go, you will answer your questions about future orientation, and teachers will be the guides, the ones who will accompany you on every journey”.

Student Quach The Manh - Top scorer in IELTS and transcript assessment, representing more than 2,300 new students, spoke at the Opening Ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year.

Also at the ceremony, the University of Economics - VNU announced the decision to reward new students and students who achieved excellent results in the recent university entrance exam, during their study and training at the school. In addition, many scholarship programs from partners, businesses, and UEB alumni were also awarded to students at the opening ceremony this morning.
