Amway Vietnam - Global brand of health and beauty, honored to be a foreign-invested enterprise developing a sustainable green economy at the Golden Dragon Awards 2024. This is also the 8th time Amway Vietnam has been awarded this prestigious award.
The 2024 Golden Dragon Awards program organized by Vietnam Economic Magazine will survey and evaluate pioneering enterprises in green transformation, circular transformation, ensuring low carbon emissions in production, business and corporate governance processes, paying attention to and having plans to implement ESG (Environmental - Environment; Social - Society and Governance - Corporate Governance). Pioneering enterprises announce their roadmap towards Net Zero, contributing to the goal of successfully implementing Vietnam's Net Zero commitment by 2050.

Currently, green economy is understood as the combination of three factors: economy (hunger eradication and poverty reduction, improving the quality of public health care, developing clean energy, meeting people's employment needs and promoting growth...); environment (ensuring sustainable production and consumption, conserving marine resources, protecting, regenerating and encouraging sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems...) and society (improving the quality of education, narrowing the gender inequality gap and minimizing social inequality...).
Green economy has become an inevitable trend for countries to achieve economic growth while maintaining environmental sustainability. Green economy is necessary because it creates jobs, ensures sustainable economic growth and prevents environmental pollution, global warming, resource depletion and environmental degradation.
Green economic development is the path that Amway pursues to create sustainable values, thereby realizing the goal of bringing better and healthier lives. Amway has invested in three farms with more than 2,800 hectares of certified organic farmland, including Nutrilite Trout Lake in the US, Nutrilite Rancho El Petacal in Mexico and Nutrilite Ubajara in Brazil. These farms all use regenerative, chemical-free farming methods, providing a source of highly nutritious ingredients completely naturally, and the water used for irrigation is also natural groundwater.
Many farming methods have been created, researched and applied such as: planting legumes to provide abundant nitrogen for the soil, covering these plants with plastic and letting them wither naturally to become fertilizer, using worms to make the soil loose and porous to help legume roots develop easily. Each year, more than 3,000 tons of mixed fertilizer are created from reusing crop residue. Using ladybugs, eagles, owls... instead of pesticides to protect fruit trees from pests, insects and birds. Tractors controlled by GPS technology perform soil guidance systems and control weeds less than an inch from the plants. Therefore, there is no need for synthetic herbicides.
