Van Quyet 'carries' Hanoi Club again
Before the encounter with SLNA in round 12 of the V-League, Hanoi FC's performance had dropped to an alarming level. The capital team had only won 1 of the last 5 matches, was eliminated from the National Cup and dropped out of the top 4 of the V-League. The team's leadership took action by appointing Mr. Hoang Van Phuc as interim coach to replace Le Duc Tuan, but Van Quyet and his teammates then lost to Nam Dinh FC with a score of 1-2.

Although being overwhelmed by the opponent, Hanoi FC still had Van Quyet to resolve the deadlock. In the 25th minute, the captain born in 1991 dribbled the ball into the middle and then shot with his left foot, successfully defeating goalkeeper Van Viet.

The chance to score was closed for SLNA in the 65th minute. Taking advantage of the visitors' central defender's wrong header, Van Quyet rushed forward and then lifted the ball over the SLNA goalkeeper's head, raising the score to 2-0. The "3-star" victory of Hanoi Club was confirmed in the 86th minute thanks to Joao Pedro with a decisive low shot after a through ball from Hung Dung.
Defeating SLNA 3-0, Hanoi FC rose to fourth place with 20 points after 13 matches. Meanwhile, SLNA ranked second to last with only 9 points after 12 matches.
In his debut match, coach Hoang Van Phuc lost to Nam Dinh, but in the second match since taking over the hot seat, the former coach of the Vietnamese national team was able to smile happily.
Van Quyet shared: "The victory is very meaningful to me personally because today is also my grandmother's birthday and I want to give her this victory."
