Lado taxi rents 500 Vinfast electric cars and buys 40 additional VFe34 cars

As one of the first passenger transport enterprises to put VinFast electric cars into operation and achieve positive business results, Lado Taxi has decided to invest and expand electric taxi services on a large scale, gradually replacing the current fleet of gasoline cars.

Specifically, Lado ordered 40 VF e34 cars from VinFast, adding to the VF e34 electric car fleet that has been put into professional operation. In parallel with the new purchase, Lado also signed a contract to lease 300 VF e34 cars and 200 VF 5 Plus cars through GSM Company. The lease term is 42 months from the date of signing the official contract, which can be extended depending on actual usage needs.

With a scale of up to more than 600 electric taxis, together with SM Green Taxi, Lado has become a leading enterprise in the field of green passenger transport - sustainable, environmentally friendly and user-friendly in Vietnam.

Previously, Lado purchased and operated a fleet of 75 VF e34 vehicles from the end of May 2022, serving passenger transport at Lien Khuong Airport (Lam Dong). After nearly a year of operation, Lado Taxi's electric taxi service has impressed customers, increasingly becoming a favorite choice of locals and tourists. In terms of business efficiency, thanks to the outstanding advantages in fuel costs, operating capacity and smart technology of electric vehicles compared to gasoline vehicles, VinFast electric taxis are also highly appreciated and proactively chosen by drivers.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dong - General Director of Dong Thuy Company Limited said: “Through the implementation of electric taxi service for nearly a year, we have realized the outstanding advantages of electric vehicles compared to gasoline vehicles such as no smell, no noise, saving on operating, maintenance and repair costs, and being equipped with many smart features and technologies. These points are very suitable for the taxi service that Lado is providing, because it not only helps protect the health of drivers and passengers, but also helps optimize business efficiency and brings new experiences, making customers very excited. That is the reason we decided to invest more to expand the electric vehicle fleet, gradually replacing the old gasoline vehicle fleet, thereby actively contributing to preserving and protecting the environment”.

It is expected that GSM Company's SM Green Taxi will officially operate from April 2023 in Hanoi, before expanding nationwide at the end of the year. Meanwhile, in addition to Da Lat (Lam Dong), Lado Taxi's electric taxi service also plans to expand operations in Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) and several other provinces and cities in the near future./.
