High School Graduation Exam 2024: Hanoi, Thanh Hoa in the top 10 in terms of score

Of the 200 candidates with the highest total high school graduation scores in 2024, Hanoi has 33 candidates and Thanh Hoa leads the country with a score of 10.

On the morning of July 17, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.

Of the 200 candidates with the highest total high school graduation scores in 2024, Hanoi has 33 candidates and Thanh Hoa leads the country with a score of 10.

Hanoi has 194 schools with 100% graduation rate

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training reported that the city's high school graduation rate in 2024 reached 99.8%, 0.24% higher than the 2023 exam. The city has 194 out of 269 schools with a graduation rate of 100%, an increase of 54 schools compared to the 2023 exam.

Of the 200 candidates with the highest total high school graduation scores in 2024, Hanoi has 33 candidates. Among them, 1 candidate is the national co-valedictorian (along with a candidate from Ninh Binh province) with 57.85 points. That is Nguyen Ha Nhi, a student of class 12D1, Nguyen Gia Thieu High School (Long Bien district) with the following exam scores: Math 8.8; Literature 9.25; History 10; Geography 10; Civics 10 and Foreign Language 9.8.

According to analysis of exam score data from the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2024, Hanoi ranked 12th in high school graduation exam results, up 4 places compared to 2023. Notably, the average scores of many subjects of Hanoi candidates increased compared to the national average.

Specifically, Hanoi's average score in the following subjects: Math reached 6.73 (0.28 points higher than the national average); Literature reached 7.76 (0.53 points higher than the national average); Physics reached 6.81 (0.14 points higher than the national average); Foreign Language reached 6.16 (0.65 points higher than the national average).

Thanh Hoa candidates achieved 914 points of 10

On July 17, Mr. Tran Van Thuc, Director of the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, said that through analysis of high school graduation exam score data in 2024, the province leads the country in terms of 10 points.

Specifically, in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, Thanh Hoa had 914 scores of 10, ranking first in the country. Localities in the top 10 include: Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Binh Duong, Ha Tinh, Thai Nguyen.

Mr. Tran Van Thuc added that this year, the province has 1 national top student in block C, To Thi Dieu, Quang Xuong 4 High School.

According to statistics, Thanh Hoa's average exam score is 6.82 points, ranking 18th out of 63 provinces and cities. With this score, the province increased 3 places compared to 2023 (in 2023, it ranked 21st out of 63 provinces and cities with an average score of 6.47 points).

In the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, Thanh Hoa has about 39,000 candidates registered for the exam; nearly 1,500 independent candidates. Candidates registered for the Natural Science exam were 9,508 students; and Social Science exam was 28,174 students.

Compared to 2023, this year's High School Graduation Exam, the province increased 3 exam locations, 2,289 more registered candidates, and 99 more exam rooms. To ensure the exam takes place safely, the locality mobilized about 7,000 people./.

This year, Block C has a bumper crop of valedictorians with 19 students. Interestingly, all 19 Block C valedictorians scored 10 points in History and Geography and 9.75 points in Literature, and 13 of them are from Bac Ninh.
