Accompanying the development of the province
In 2023, Quang Nam Electricity Company continued to meet the electricity needs of people and businesses, contributing to the recovery of socio-economic development and ensuring security and defense in the province.
Commercial electricity output reached over 2 billion 535 million kWh, up 4.2% compared to 2022. The average power outage time/1 distribution grid customer decreased by over 100 minutes compared to the plan. The electricity access index was 2.07 days/project, down 2.93 days compared to the plan (5 days).
In the field of business - customer service, the company has implemented many synchronous solutions, especially applying new technology, digital transformation... to serve customers more and more conveniently. Up to now, 100% of customer meters have their indexes automatically recorded through the remote measurement system; 98.5% of customers pay their electricity bills without cash; 100% of customers are encouraged to register for electricity services via the network environment, moving towards implementing digital transaction offices.
Especially in the field of investment in construction, upgrading and development of the power grid, in recent years, Quang Nam has been given priority by the electricity industry to allocate a very large budget compared to the average of the Central Highlands region.
On average, in the last 5 years, each year, Quang Nam has invested 596 billion VND; including strong investment in the 110kV grid such as investing in 5 new 110kV transformer stations, including completing and putting into use 2 110kV transformer stations Tam Anh, Phuoc Son and implementing 110kV transformer station projects Tien Phuoc, Dong Giang, Truong Hai.
The power grid system managed and operated by Quang Nam Electricity Company is increasingly modern and has covered 100% of communes/wards/towns; up to now, 99.29% of households have access to the national grid. Currently, with the highest electricity consumption output in the region, it shows that Quang Nam has a prosperous economic development, especially in the fields of industry, trade - services, and residential consumption...
Along with performing well the production and business tasks, Quang Nam Electricity Company regularly has many activities for the community and social security in the province with a contribution of 100 million VND/year, mainly from voluntary contributions of the company's officers, employees and workers.
Ensuring power supply in the future
In 2024, Quang Nam province has set out a number of key tasks, such as: focusing on removing difficulties for production and business; supporting the stabilization of people's lives, and restoring production. Since the beginning of the year, the province has had many more large industrial investment projects put into operation and many projects are undergoing investment procedures... leading to increased demand for electricity.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Khanh - Director of Quang Nam Electricity Company said that since the second half of 2023, there has been a production and business plan for 2024 and implementation of the electricity development content in the planning of Quang Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, which has been announced.
“Quang Nam Electricity Company is determined to constantly strive to accompany the development of the province with the motto “Electricity goes one step ahead” to facilitate investment and business of businesses and people. Although facing many difficulties, especially in site clearance to implement power grid investment projects and the work of protecting the power grid safety corridor, the company sets the goal for 2024 and the following period to provide safe and quality electricity, well meeting the electricity needs of businesses and people" - Mr. Nguyen Huu Khanh said.
According to Mr. Khanh, in the immediate future, the hot season of 2024 is forecasted to see high electricity consumption. The company has a plan to ensure electricity supply and recommends that customers focus on using electricity economically, reasonably, effectively and ensuring electrical safety.
Meeting the electricity demand of 9 mountainous districts of Quang Nam
In the 9 mountainous districts, Quang Nam Electricity Company is managing and operating 1,746km of medium voltage lines, 1,251km of low voltage lines, 1 10kV transformer station, 8 intermediate transformer stations, 973 load transformer stations supplying electricity to over 81,000 customers. The 110kV Phuoc Son and Nam Tra My transformer stations were invested in and energized in 2022, contributing greatly to ensuring stable and continuous power supply, improving the quality of electricity for the districts of Hiep Duc, Phuoc Son, Nam Tra My, and Bac Tra My, overcoming the interruption of power supply during the rainy and stormy season as before. In the period of 2024 - 2025, the electricity industry plans to continue investing about 133 billion VND to expand and upgrade the power grid in the 9 mountainous districts.
