On the morning of October 13, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Bach Mai Hospital to organize a signing ceremony for medical support cooperation between Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and Bach Mai Hospital for the period 2024-2030.

Based on the results achieved in the past time, Bach Mai Hospital and Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee have agreed to sign a medical support cooperation agreement for the period 2024-2030.

Cooperation contents include: Training and technology transfer; training management and line guidance; application of information technology, digital transformation and marketing; staff rotation (support for highly qualified human resources); support and consultation on high-tech medical services. Training in hospital management; management of pharmaceuticals, clinical pharmacy and materials, testing chemicals, management and maintenance, repair of medical equipment; training in professional expertise, practical medical techniques in areas such as: Cardiology and interventional cardiology; urology and blood filtration; emergency resuscitation, anti-poisoning; neurology, musculoskeletal system...

In training management and line guidance, Bach Mai Hospital supports Thanh Hoa province in establishing, perfecting and developing a training management and line guidance system to maintain and promote the effectiveness of training activities, technology transfer, and ensure the sustainability of the cooperation program.

Regarding the application of information technology, digital transformation and marketing, Bach Mai Hospital supports Thanh Hoa province in investing and connecting online networks (Telemedicine) between medical examination and treatment facilities under the Thanh Hoa Department of Health and Bach Mai Hospital; developing distance learning at Bach Mai Hospital (via zoom or setting up a suitable IT system, building E-learning lectures); implementing training, coaching, and exchanging expertise via online systems; organizing regular and ad hoc online consultations for serious/special cases.

In addition, based on the current situation and medical examination and treatment needs of Thanh Hoa province, Bach Mai Hospital sends highly qualified doctors, nurses, medical technicians, and resident doctors to directly rotate technical support for 3-6 months...

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung thanked the Ministry of Health and Bach Mai Hospital for their support and assistance to Thanh Hoa province in the past time, contributing to helping the Thanh Hoa health sector improve its capacity to care for and protect people's health. At the same time, he emphasized: The signing of the memorandum of understanding with Bach Mai Hospital for the period 2024-2030 is a continuation of the spirit of long-term cooperation and an important milestone for the health sector and people in the province. This is an opportunity to help the Thanh Hoa health sector further improve its professional quality, improve local health capacity, and help approach and master modern and advanced medical techniques in the country as well as in the region.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung stated: Whether the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation is effective or not depends on the Thanh Hoa Health sector. Therefore, based on the signed Memorandum of Understanding, the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee commits to directing the Department of Health to focus on implementing, developing specific plans and roadmaps, setting out annual tasks and solutions to concretize the cooperation content, thereby improving the capacity of medical examination and treatment for the province's health system in the 5 main areas of cooperation committed.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan said: In recent times, the Ministry of Health has directed central hospital units to increase support to localities, including Bach Mai Hospital, to improve medical capacity for localities as well as contribute to overcoming the overload situation at the central level.

The process of implementing the cooperation support program is also an opportunity for central hospitals to better understand and share the difficulties of localities in medical examination and treatment.

The Deputy Minister of Health expressed his wish and requested Bach Mai Hospital to give priority to Thanh Hoa province in supporting technology transfer and training medical human resources for Thanh Hoa province; the two sides agreed on the contents and most effective and practical cooperation support programs.
