The 7th session presented 20 projects and drafts to the National Assembly.

Regarding the proposal to adjust the 2024 Program, reporting at the meeting, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long said that, based on the above principles, the Government proposed to adjust the 2024 Program for 11 projects and drafts.

Specifically, at the 7th Session (May 2024), it was proposed to adjust 4 projects and drafts, including: Proposing to postpone the submission deadline of 1 project (Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations) from the Program for comments at the 7th Session, approved at the 8th Session to comments at the 8th Session, approved at the 9th Session.

In addition, 3 projects and drafts were added to the Program, including 2 draft Resolutions submitted to the National Assembly for comments and approval according to the 1-session process: Resolution of the National Assembly amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 dated June 19, 2020 of the National Assembly on piloting the organization of an urban government model and a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city; Resolution of the National Assembly on a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province; and 1 draft law submitted to the National Assembly for comments at the 7th Session, approved at the 8th Session: Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue.

At the 8th Session (October 2024), it is proposed to add 8 projects, including: Add to the Approval Program for the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Law Project. Add to the Program for comments and approval according to the 1-session process for the Electricity Law Project (amended). Add to the Program for comments for 6 projects: Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Advertising Law; Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended); Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended); Law on Digital Technology Industry; Law on Teachers; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations.

Based on the proposed adjustments and additions to projects and drafts as reported, the 2024 Program will have 29 projects and drafts submitted by the Government, an increase of 9 projects compared to the Program approved by the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Specifically, at the 7th Session (May 2024), 20 projects and drafts will be submitted to the National Assembly, including: coordinating the revision and submission to the National Assembly for approval of 7 draft laws that were commented on by the National Assembly at the 6th Session; submitting to the National Assembly for approval according to the 1-session process for 3 projects and drafts; submitting to the National Assembly for comments on 10 draft laws.

Meanwhile, at the 8th Session (October 2024), 19 projects were submitted to the National Assembly, including: coordinating the revision and submission to the National Assembly for approval of 10 draft laws that were commented on by the National Assembly at the 7th Session; submitting to the National Assembly for approval according to the 1-session process for 1 draft law; submitting to the National Assembly for comments on 8 draft laws. Adding to the Program of the National Assembly Standing Committee for 1 project: Ordinance on Management and Protection of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Relic Site.
