This year, Miss Universe changed the format of the closed interview round, each contestant had to meet with each judge. A total of 127 contestants, divided into groups of 11, entered the interview room together.

Each contestant has 3 minutes to answer a judge, then moves on to the next judge, until they have met with all 13. This part of the competition lasts 35-39 minutes for each contestant, 10 times longer than previous years, allowing the judges to get to know each contestant better.
