On the afternoon of October 15, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association coordinated with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize the closing ceremony of "Vietnam Dance Week 2024". On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, comrade Y Ngoc, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended.

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association; representatives of relevant provincial departments and branches; People's Artists, Meritorious Artists, People's Teachers, Meritorious Teachers, Critics and a large audience of Dance lovers.

“Vietnam Dance Week 2024” took place for 5 days (from October 10 to 15) in Kon Tum city with the participation of domestic and international professional artists and choreographers; with passion and a desire for creativity, the artists coordinated to practice and perform the contemporary dance SESAN and contributed many unique dance performances, bringing subtle, attractive, thrilling feelings and the beauty of the Dance art form.

According to the evaluation of the Jury, the performances were elaborately staged, thematically structured, and closely followed the competition criteria. Some works exploited dance materials from ethnic groups through different perspectives in life, truly reflecting the life and cultural characteristics of each locality.

The actors and actresses of the performances achieved good technical quality and performance skills. The works demonstrated quite well the sophistication in the application of folk and ethnic dance materials to express the unique nuances of each ethnic group, expressing the authenticity and aesthetic effectiveness of the art of dance, creating a good impression on the masses and the audience who came to watch and cheer on the night of the competition.

Through this, a number of young and promising choreographic talents were discovered. At this dance week, the works promoted the image and traditional beauty of the homeland, of the people in the regions, creativity in labor production, building the homeland, and love for the country, always aspiring to rise up.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 03 A prizes to the following works: Wooden mask by author Nguyen Quang Anh; Xo pe by author Vu Thi Hue; Forest fireflies by author Nguyen Thi My Linh.

Awarded 06 B prizes to the following works: Khuc khai trien by Meritorious Artist Vo Tho Thai; Chuong mo by author Tong Mai Len; Giao quyen by Meritorious Artist Pham Van Han (Ngoc Han); Tieng pestle dem by author Le Van Hai (Le Hai); Sen Phan Be (Ceremony) by author Quang Van Viet; Bay Ching by author Phan Thi Thuc Linh.

“Vietnam Dance Week 2024” is a competition to honor, preserve and promote traditional cultural values ​​and ethnic cultural identities of the Vietnamese ethnic community. This is also an opportunity for choreographers and performing artists to promote their artistic creativity; create conditions for authors and performing artists to contribute, exchange, discuss their careers, update new creations, gain experience to improve the quality of dance composition and performance for the purpose of building a Vietnamese dance art with a strong national and modern cultural identity.

From the results of the Competition, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association together with managers and art directors discovered and correctly assessed the creative capacity of the team of choreographers and artists performing traditional dance, thereby having key solutions to build, foster and improve the quality of artists and orient the development of traditional dance art to meet the requirements and tasks of today's society.
