On June 23, the Party Committee of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones (EPZs) of Ho Chi Minh City held a mid-term review conference to implement the resolution of the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of the Management Board of EPZs of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2020-2025.
Attending and directing the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai stated that the Party Committee of the Management Board of the Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City is a special Party Committee, closely associated with the task of maintaining political stability in production and business activities at enterprises. Therefore, he reminded the Party Committee of the Management Board of the Export Processing and Industrial Zones to focus on doing a good job of political and ideological education; grasp the situation of internal ideological developments and public opinion to advise, encourage, resolve and take timely measures to handle arising issues. At the same time, it is necessary to do a good job of developing new Party members and establishing Party organizations at enterprises with 100 to less than 300 employees that have trade unions.

In particular, he noted that the Party Committee of the Management Board of the Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones of Ho Chi Minh City should pay attention to the inspection and supervision work of the Party organization and the government; discuss solutions to implement the inspection and supervision conclusions; remote prevention solutions associated with the responsibility of leaders and key officials in places and departments where violations are likely to occur, where internal disunity is evident, and where there are many grievances and public concerns.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai, the production and business situation of enterprises in the EPZs is gradually recovering, but the efficiency of operations is not high, and some enterprises still face many difficulties. Therefore, he requested the Party Committee of the Management Board to focus more on leadership and direction in implementing political tasks at the unit; proactively coordinate with the city's departments and branches to find timely solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles and accompany enterprises in building and developing production and business activities. Along with that, take good care of the material and spiritual life of workers, especially those who have lost their jobs; coordinate with local authorities to grasp the situation of public opinion, promote the role of the core workforce to contribute to ensuring security and order in the city's EPZs.

According to the report, since the beginning of the term, the Party Committee of the Management Board of the Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City has focused on researching and developing projects for the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to approve. Administrative reform and competitiveness assessment index at the department, branch and local levels have achieved high results (ranked second among departments and branches). Many component indexes are among the top in the city. In the work of Party building, the Party Committee of the Management Board of the Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City has focused on implementing many solutions and establishing two grassroots party committees in An Ha Industrial Park and Dong Nam Industrial Park.
Coordination of inspection and supervision of environment, planning, construction, and labor is carried out regularly and continuously through party members and party committees at each party unit; propaganda and mobilization work for enterprises to build and develop political forces, establish party organizations and unions is promoted with the synchronization of the political system. Up to now, the Party Committee of the Export Processing Zone and Industrial Zone Management Board has completed 6/22 targets for the term; 14/22 targets achieved a completion rate of over 50% compared to the Resolution targets.
