On the way to realizing the goal of welcoming 17 million visitors in 2024, Quang Ninh has proposed many solutions, including developing the night-time economy through new tourism products, diversifying services and experiences that the province is interested in implementing. Thereby, contributing to extending the length of stay, increasing the spending capacity of tourists, creating momentum for sustainable tourism development.

At the end of June, the commercial street modeled after a night entertainment market by the sea - VuiFest Ha Long in Bai Chay Ward (Ha Long City) officially came into operation. The street has nearly 100 tents and 40 business kiosks, providing visitors with spaces for cultural and culinary exchange, shopping, and experiencing attractive and unique games.

Developing the VuiFest Ha Long commercial street into a night tourism product following the famous coastal night market model is an important step in the local tourism strategy, contributing to attracting tourists to the wonder bay throughout the four seasons.

With the goal of creating entertainment spaces, attracting tourists, promoting traditional culture, many walking streets have also been put into operation in many localities in the province, such as: Tran Phu walking street (Mong Cai city), Tien Yen walking street (Tien Yen district), Minh Chau walking street (Van Don district)... The walking streets operate from 6-12pm on weekends with many unique cultural and street art activities, such as: Street music performances, sketching, calligraphy, zumba dancing, modern dancing, booths displaying and introducing OCOP products, street food... serving people and tourists. Walking streets not only create attractive products, build a civilized lifestyle in the locality but also contribute to promoting the traditional culture of Quang Ninh to a large number of tourists.

In 2024, many new tourism products in localities are expected to be put into operation, including products associated with night services, such as: Korean-style walking street; Lighthouse entertainment complex (cuisine, experience, art performance services); Diamond entertainment complex in Tuan Chau (entertainment, cuisine, swimming); restaurant cruise combined with wedding, vacation experience on Ha Long Bay... In particular, Wyndham Garden Sonasea Van Don resort has resort and health care products with courses of physical exercise, meditation, yoga, spa, artificial hot mineral bath, smoking cessation, weight loss, detox sand bath; cycling tours to experience Co To at night, camping overnight at Ba Chau beach - Thanh Lan commune (Co To district)... In order for these products to be put into operation soon, serving people and tourists, localities need to speed up the progress, carry out procedures, provide guidance, and remove difficulties for businesses.

Mr. Nguyen The Hue, Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association, said: To develop the night-time economy, the Pilot Project of the night-time economic development model in Quang Ninh province for the period of 2023-2025 was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in September 2023 with the goal of exploiting the potential for night-time economic development to maximize new economic development opportunities, improve people's income and living standards. This is a great opportunity to promote night-time economic development in Quang Ninh. Not only that, the exploitation and putting into business many night-time economic activities in recent times in localities in the province have also shown their "attraction" to tourists, contributing to a significant increase in the number of visitors to Quang Ninh. Night-time tourism activities not only bring diverse experiences to tourists but also help optimize tourism infrastructure, increase length of stay, increase tourists' spending at destinations, thereby contributing to increasing tourism revenue for the locality. In the coming time, the unit will continue to urge businesses, coordinate with localities in the province to implement the Project and will put into operation more night-time economic models on the basis of ensuring conditions of security, order, safety and associated with promoting traditional cultural values ​​of Quang Ninh.
