Architect Huynh Tan Phat devoted his whole life to the cause of national unity.

Architect Huynh Tan Phat was born on February 15, 1913 in Tan Hung village, An Hoa district, My Tho province (now Chau Hung commune, Binh Dai district, Ben Tre province). He was a talented intellectual, an ardent patriot, an outstanding revolutionary leader and a typical flag bearer of national solidarity.

He held many important positions in the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front: Vice President of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, President of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Vice President of the State Council, National Assembly delegate of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, terms I, II, III, VI, VII, VIII, Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front... Throughout his life, architect Huynh Tan Phat was associated with the cause of great national unity and made great contributions to this noble cause.

Based on documents, artifacts, and memorabilia collected from 2018-2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Museum has gathered, researched, and built a collection about architect Huynh Tan Phat - a staunch communist, a prestigious patriotic intellectual, and a typical example of national and international solidarity.

The collection has a total of 106 artifacts of various materials and types, most of which are original, and has valuable contributions to reflecting the work process of architect Huynh Tan Phat in many fields and in daily life.

The group of artifacts about the activities of architect Huynh Tan Phat as a typical patriotic intellectual, a leader holding many important positions, always showing a high spirit and responsibility before the Party and the People, reflects the revolutionary activities of architect Huynh Tan Phat from the pre-uprising period, through two resistance wars against the French and the Americans to save the country until the day the country was reunified. This group of artifacts has contributed to demonstrating the crystallization of the passionate patriotism, outstanding talent and strong will of the talented leader, all for the noble goal: independence, freedom for the nation and peace and happiness for the people.

A group of artifacts and documents about architect Huynh Tan Phat in the work of the Front, including the document collection "Vietnam Fatherland Front and Front work in the new period" including 13 passionate speeches by architect Huynh Tan Phat; a work book carefully and in detail recording many issues about the work of the Front... In his position as Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, architect Huynh Tan Phat made important contributions to innovating the content and methods of operation of the Front, bringing the work of the Front towards the grassroots, promoting the role of the Front in building the great national unity bloc, implementing economic, social, cultural, foreign affairs, security and defense tasks. He actively brought Directive 17 of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the work of the Front into life, contributing to enhancing the position and role of the Front in the new period. The speech at the 3rd Congress of the Committee for the Defense of the Cuban Revolution in 1986, the diplomatic passport used to travel to the Soviet Union in 1988, the Certificate of the Order of the Soviet Union of architect Huynh Tan Phat... have partly demonstrated his contributions to national unity and international solidarity.

In his role as Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Architects, architect Huynh Tan Phat has left his mark with his in-depth, sharp instructions, breakthrough thinking, and linking architecture with life. Architect Huynh Tan Phat's instructions and orientations have contributed to building a modern Vietnamese architectural art rich in national identity.

The group of artifacts and memorabilia reflects the simple, sincere and benevolent daily life of architect Huynh Tan Phat, including touching artifacts such as the postcard dedicated to his wife Bui Thi Nga in 1983. Some handwritten letters from architect Huynh Tan Phat to friends and comrades express his sincere feelings, care and sharing. Some letters from relatives and friends written to architect Huynh Tan Phat express their respect and gratitude for his conduct in life. Especially, the two condolence books when architect Huynh Tan Phat passed away contain many memories, touching and respectful feelings of leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, agencies, relatives, comrades, teammates, people from all walks of life and international friends for him.

The life and career of architect Huynh Tan Phat is an exemplary, shining example of morality, revolutionary ideals, sacrifice, and lifelong dedication to the cause of national liberation, unification and construction of the country, to the work of the Front and the great national unity bloc. The collection is a valuable source of information for learning and researching the life and career of architect Huynh Tan Phat. Each artifact contains touching stories about the talented leader, devoted to the country and the people, thereby contributing to educating the traditions and revolutionary ideals for generations in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, promoting the strength of great national unity.
