BTO-On the morning of March 4, the Museum Affairs Department (Provincial Museum) received 12 artifacts from the anti-American resistance period donated by Mr. Dinh Huu Tuc - War invalid 4/4, residing in Nam Chinh commune, Duc Linh district.
Mr. Dinh Huu Tuc (born in 1953) used to work in the K12 Working Team in the Sung Nhon New Village area, northeast of Dinh Mountain. The relics donated to the Provincial Museum include: hammocks, hammock covers, cotton umbrellas, anthills, canteens, compasses, oil bottles, spoons, suitcases, ammunition boxes, and radio bags.
Mr. Dinh Huu Tuc said: “Many units have expressed their intention to collect them, but I did not agree, because these are all souvenirs associated with him during his time participating in activities and fighting in the Hoai Duc Campaign in the past. Each souvenir is a historical story, memories with comrades and teammates during the arduous activities, helping, supporting, and protecting to overcome difficulties, defeat the invaders, regain independence, including sacrifices and losses... On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) associated with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan homeland (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2025), which is also the year I turn 50 years old in the Party, this is a suitable occasion for me to donate these souvenirs to the Provincial Museum. With the hope that these souvenirs will be preserved, kept and displayed for a long time. long. Through that, we can propagate, educate and introduce to all subjects, especially the young generation, national pride, promote the heroic tradition of the homeland, and absolutely trust in the leadership of the Party".
At the reception ceremony, the representative of the Provincial Museum was extremely respectful and grateful for Mr. Dinh Huu Tuc's sentiments. At the same time, he affirmed that these are all extremely valuable contributions not only to the unit but also to future generations. The artifacts will be kept and preserved in the best conditions and a record will be made for display. The Provincial Museum hopes to continue to receive valuable artifacts donated by units, organizations and individuals so that historical stories will reach more and more people.
It is known that in 2024, the Provincial Museum collected and received 88 artifacts and antiquities. Of these, there are 50 documents, images, artifacts of natural resources, archaeology, ethnic cultures, artifacts from the two resistance wars against France and the US and the renovation period up to now, contributing to enriching the province's artifact collection, as well as affirming the traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
