Kien Giang organizes Spring Newspaper Festival and launches electronic information page 'Kien Giang Journalists'

The 2024 Giap Thin Spring Newspaper Festival in Kien Giang province displays over 125 types of Giap Thin Spring newspaper and magazine publications nationwide with more than 630 publications and nearly 500 year-end newspapers, news bulletins, and socio-economic information. Of which, there are 55 publications with more than 237 spring newspapers from central press agencies, ministries, branches, and the National Journalists Association.

This year's publications are diverse in genre, beautifully creative in form, rich in content, vividly reflecting the political, economic and social situation of the country and the world in the past year. Highlights include the positive results of sectors, fields and localities in socio-economic development; contributing to widely disseminating the implementation of the Party's platform, guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; replicating typical advanced examples in labor and production; practically contributing to spreading good values, creating confidence, excitement and optimism for all classes of people in the new year.

In addition to displaying spring newspapers, the Organizing Committee actively exhibited images of 10 outstanding events and imprints of Kien Giang province in 2023 announced by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department at the end of 2023.

To enrich the Spring Newspaper Festival days, the Organizing Committee coordinated with the Provincial Post Office and Kien Giang Stamp Association to display postal products, services, and postage stamps with the theme "Uncle Ho - Uncle Ton, symbol of great national unity".

In particular, businesses and production and business establishments accompanied the Kien Giang Spring Newspaper Festival to display and introduce local OCOP (one commune one product) products.

On this occasion, the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association also announced the launch of the general electronic information page "Kien Giang Journalists" with two domain names: http://www.nguoilambaokiengiang.vn and http://www.hoinhabao.kiengiang.gov.vn; Agribank Southern Region awarded 20 scholarships worth 40 million VND to students in difficult circumstances in Rach Gia City and My Lam Commune, Hon Dat District, Kien Giang Province.
