On August 9, the Nam Tu Liem District Tax Department issued a decision to enforce the tax administrative decision by withdrawing money from the account of the subject of enforcement - the National Sports Complex.

According to the decision of the Nam Tu Liem District Tax Department, My Dinh National Sports Complex was forced to pay taxes due to tax arrears, late tax payment over 90 days from the tax payment deadline, tax payment extension deadline, and non-compliance with administrative penalty decisions according to the provisions of the Law on Tax Administration and of competent state agencies.

The total amount of money being enforced is nearly 869.5 billion VND, of which more than 471 million VND is land use tax and more than 397 million VND is late payment of other amounts.

Nam Tu Liem District Tax Department used coercive measures to seize accounts with My Dinh National Sports Complex.

Nam Tu Liem District Tax Department used coercive measures to seize accounts with My Dinh National Sports Complex.

The Nam Tu Liem District Tax Department requested ViettinBank (Nam Thang Long branch) - where the account for My Dinh National Sports Complex is registered, to withdraw money from the account to carry out enforcement measures. In case the amount in the account is less than the amount of the enforcement decision, the bank must withdraw the remaining amount after deducting the minimum balance to maintain the account and continue to monitor and withdraw the amount of money arising in the account of My Dinh National Sports Complex during the effective period of the decision.

Previously, in June 2021, the Government Inspectorate announced the conclusion of a comprehensive inspection, confirming violations in compliance with legal regulations on the management and use of land and public assets at the National Sports Complex. In February 2019, the State Audit also pointed out many violations in the management and use of finance and assets.

In June 2022, the My Dinh National Sports Complex was forced by the Hanoi Tax Department to stop using invoices due to overdue payments that must be enforced according to the law. This decision is effective for one year and this is the third time the My Dinh National Sports Complex has been forced to collect invoices.

The forced suspension of invoices caused the operations of the My Dinh National Sports Complex to be suspended. The unit was then allowed to issue individual invoices, thereby allowing it to organize events, maintain the operations of the My Dinh Stadium and other facilities in the complex.
