Can't take your eyes off the "most beautiful balcony in Hungary" of a Vietnamese woman

(Dan Tri) - The balcony of Ms. Nhi's house once won the award for the most beautiful balcony in Hungary. Every day, the Vietnamese woman spends about 2 hours taking care of the flowers grown on the balcony and in her home garden.

Ms. Nguyen Ai Nhi (55 years old) currently lives in Budapest, Hungary and has a great passion for growing flowers and taking care of plants. In 2001, after moving to a new house on a land of nearly 600 square meters, Ms. Nhi started growing flowers in the garden and balcony area.

Nhi's house has two balconies, one in front and one behind. Each balcony is about 12 square meters wide. The front balcony faces southwest and gets a lot of sunlight, so she grows geraniums.

The balcony behind the house faces northeast, which is cooler, so Ms. Nhi grows roses. Two rose bushes were planted from the ground on the first floor and allowed to climb up to the balcony on the second floor. The tallest rose bush is 6m tall, covering a corner of the balcony. At first, when she first started growing flowers, because she didn't have much experience, Ms. Nhi mainly researched and learned how to care for flowers through books, newspapers and the internet.

After testing many types of flowers, Ms. Nhi found that geraniums are the easiest to grow, with many flowers and blooms continuously throughout the summer until snow falls.

"These are one-season flowers that bloom continuously from early spring to late autumn. In the hot summer, geraniums are the "queen" of the garden. Because they are one-season flowers, I often change the color every year to create a new look for the balcony," said Nhi.

In 2021, Ms. Nhi took photos of her flower balcony to participate in the beautiful garden and balcony contest organized by the Hungarian tourism and culture agency. Ms. Nhi's balcony won first prize in the contest. Ms. Nhi shared: "The results are evaluated by the organizers on the photos, but the winners will be visited by the organizers to present the prize and take photos and videos. My flower garden and balcony also appeared on the website of the Hungarian housing magazine".

Recently, Ms. Nhi took pictures of her balcony and shared them on social media. The post attracted thousands of comments and likes. Many people admired and praised Ms. Nhi's balcony, which was as brilliant as a painting.

A few expressed their desire to grow such flower-filled balconies in Vietnam. In response to many questions, Ms. Ai Nhi shared: "Knowledge about gardening and growing flowers is very popular on the internet. So if you want, anyone can create a beautiful balcony for their home."

According to Ms. Nhi, the most important thing is the weather and soil. Depending on the climate and soil where they live, each family chooses the appropriate type of flower to grow. For example, in Vietnam, geraniums do not grow well because the summer is too hot. This flower can only be grown in Sa Pa or Da Lat.
