The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has requested all schools and educational levels not to provide or post personal information of students and teachers in file format in any form. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to collect personal data in unauthorized formats, against regulations, and not for the purpose of serving educational tasks.
According to the request of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, all personal information of students and teachers when collected must be managed and implemented on the database system of the education and training sector, ensuring synchronization, consistency and information security.
School principals are primarily responsible for data collection at their units. Data collection must comply with the following principles: legality, accuracy, transparency, and purpose; with the consent of the data subject or legal representative; and ensuring information security and confidentiality.
Schools need to clearly assign data management responsibilities to departments and individuals. Implement technical measures to protect data, prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification or destruction of data.
Use data only for educational, management and operational purposes of the industry. Do not use data for commercial purposes or other purposes contrary to the provisions of law.
Comply with information security regulations when using data, do not share or provide data to units outside the industry.
In case agencies and units in the city need to use industry data, they must connect through the data axis of the education and training industry database and the city's data center; educational institutions are not allowed to share or provide data to units outside the industry.
The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requested the heads of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City and districts, high schools, and affiliated schools to periodically inspect and monitor the implementation of regulations on data collection, management, and use. In case of detecting signs or violations, the school is requested to contact the Department Office - the standing unit for digital transformation of the Education and Training sector and will strictly handle violations of regulations.
