Qualifying round of Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in South Central Coast - Central Highlands region kicks off

On the afternoon of March 1, the opening ceremony of the qualifying round of the South Central and Central Highlands regions - the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 took place at Nha Trang University Stadium (Khanh Hoa).

This tournament is organized by the Central Youth Union, the Central Vietnam Student Association, Thanh Nien newspaper in coordination with the Vietnam Football Federation.

The qualifying round for the South Central and Central Highlands regions of this tournament took place from March 1 to March 7 at Nha Trang University Stadium with 6 teams from Nha Trang University, Khanh Hoa University, Nha Trang College of Tourism, Nha Trang College of Technology, Tay Nguyen University, and Da Lat University.

6 teams are divided into 2 groups and compete in a round-robin format in each group to calculate points and rank. The top 2 teams in each group compete for 1 spot in the final round.

According to the tournament organizers, the qualifying round of the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 has 64 teams divided into 6 competition regions including Southeast (January 12 to January 18), and Ho Chi Minh City (January 6 to January 25), Hanoi (February 26 to March 7), Central Coast (February 28 to March 7), South Central and Central Highlands (March 1 to March 7), Southwest (March 3 to March 9).

After the qualifying round, the 11 teams with the best results were selected to compete with the host team Ton Duc Thang University in the final round in Ho Chi Minh City from March 16 to March 31.
