Foreigner prosecuted for bringing drugs to Dong Nai to sell for profit

On July 6, the Drug Crime Investigation Department of Dong Nai Province Police announced that the unit had prosecuted and temporarily detained Oyiga Chide Kingsley (32 years old, Nigerian nationality, temporarily residing in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".

Previously, at 7:00 p.m. on June 6, at Quarter 2, Thong Nhat Ward (Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai), the reconnaissance force of the Drug Crime Investigation Department of Dong Nai Provincial Police in coordination with Working Group 161 of the Provincial Police discovered and caught Oyiga Chide Kingsley in the act of possessing a package of 995 grams of Methamphetamine.

At the investigation agency, Oyiga Chide Kingsley confessed to having bought the above drugs from a subject (unknown origin) for 9,000 USD in Ho Chi Minh City. After that, this person brought them to Dong Nai to sell for profit, on the way to deliver the drugs, he was discovered and arrested by the police.

The Drug Crime Investigation Department of Dong Nai Province Police is continuing to expand the investigation and awaiting handling according to the provisions of law.
